How To make Asparagus Ham Quiche
2 packages asparagus spears
frozen, 10 oz.,
1 pound ham :
cooked, chopped
2 cups swiss cheese shredded
1/2 cup onion :
chopped
6 eggs
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups buttermilk baking mix
2 tablespoons dried vegetable flakes
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In two greased 9 inch pie plates, layer the asparagus, ham, cheese, and onion. In a bowl, beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Divide in half a nd pour over asparagus mixture in each pie plate. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes o r until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Ham And Asparagus Quiche
Quiche anyone? Prepare this the day before, refrigerate overnight for a nice breakfast or bruch.
Ingredients:
5 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup half-and-half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
4 cups cubed italian or french bread
1 1/4 cups of shredded cheese (Monterey jack or cheddar), divided
1 cup fresh asparagus, cut into 1 inch pieces
In a large bowl, mix first six ingredients until well blended
Stir in bread, 1 cup cheese, ham and asparagus. Place in greased 8x8 baking pan; cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 325. Bake, uncovered for 20 minutes; remove and sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake for an additional 40-50 minutes until knife inserted into center comes out clean.
