How To make Applesauce Fudgies
2 Squares unsweetened
-chocolate 1/2 c Butter
1/2 c Sweetened applesauce
2 Eggs, beaten
1 c Brown sugar, firmly packed
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Sifted flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Choped walnuts
Melt chcocolate and butter together. Mix applesauce, eggs, sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients into applesauce mixture. Stir until blended; add chocolate and stir well. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake in 350F. oven for 30 minutes. Cut in 2 inch squares; cool in pan on racks. Makes 16. ** from FARM

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (115g) Butter, softened
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons (125g) Brown sugar
1 Egg, large
2 cups (250g) Flour
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon (200g) applesauce
1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200C (400F). Line two baking trays with parchment paper and set aside.
2. In a bowl whisk butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add egg, vanilla extract and mix until combined.
3. Add applesauce and whisk until combined.
4. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
5. Add flour mixture into the wet mixture and mix just until combined. Add chopped walnuts and mix.
6. Scoop a portion of the batter and drop onto prepared tray.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
