How to Make an Apple Cake with Fresh Apples | Fall Baking Part 1
Welcome to part 1 of our 3 part fall baking series! We are kicking it off as I teach you how to make an apple cake with fresh apples.
This apple cake is more apple than cake, and it's so moist and delicious! We top it with an amazing butter cream sauce that soaks in to the warm cake for an even bigger kick of flavor.
I'm using honey crisp apples here but you can use Granny Smith, McIntosh, or any firm, tart apple. (Stay clear of the red or yellow delicious varieties.)
