• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 3 celery ribs, sliced
• 3 carrots, diced
• 1 white onion, diced
• 3 cloves minced garlic
• 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper
• 6 cups chicken broth
• 2 cups milk
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1/4 cup water
DUMPLINGS
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/3 cup shortening, cold
• 1 cup buttermilk

1️⃣ 00:00:28 - Heat a large dutch oven pot over medium high heat. Add in olive oil and heat through, 1 minute. Add in celery, carrots, and onion and saute 5 minutes, or until onions are soft and translucent. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more.
2️⃣ 00:01:08 - Add in chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper. Pour in chicken broth and milk. Bring to a boil and boil 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and easily shreds with a fork.
3️⃣ 00:01:34 - Meanwhile, make the dumpling dough. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the cold shortening using a pastry cutter or food processor. Gradually pour in the buttermilk, stirring until the dough comes together. Turn the dough out on a floured surface and work it just until everything is well combined. Roll the dough out about 1/4-inch thick. Cut into 1 inch strips.

5️⃣ 00:03:07 - Shred chicken directly in soup pot, or remove to a cutting board, shred, and return to soup. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Pour into soup pot, stir in, and return to a simmer.

Dumplings:
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
2 tsps baking powder
salt to taste
2/3 cup milk
2 tbsps melted butter
2-3 tbsps diced parsley

Try this classic recipe in the slow cooker. A true one-pot meal that you'll want to make often.
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1½ lbs. chicken breasts, cubed
10.5 oz. can cream of chicken soup
10.5 oz. can cream of celery soup
1 cup water
14½ oz. can chicken broth
2 carrots, sliced- about 2 cups after being sliced
2-3 celery ribs, sliced - about 2 cups after being sliced
1 yellow onion, diced
½ tsp. thyme
¼ tsp. black pepper
1 cup frozen peas - optional
16.3 oz. Pillsbury Grand Biscuits 8 biscuit sized can (note- I only use 7 of these biscuits)
more thyme and pepper for the top of biscuits
SLOW COOKER SIZE:
6-quart or larger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add chicken, carrots, celery, onions, thyme, and black pepper to your slow cooker.
Add the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, chicken broth and water. Stir.
Cook on HIGH For 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours.
Add peas at this point if you would like. Stir.
I only use 7 biscuits for this recipe. Cut the biscuits into quarters. Arrange the biscuit quarters evenly over the soup.
Sprinkle dumplings with a touch of thyme and pepper. Replace the lid.
Turn your slow cooker to HIGH.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 45 minutes (DO NOT OPEN THE LID DURING THIS TIME). You will know the dumplings are done when they are no longer shiny.
NOTE- If your slow cooker has switched over to warm after cooking for a length of time you will need to cook the dumplings for 1.5 hours so the slow cooker gets back up to temperature.

Today I have a delicious crockpot recipe for French Onion Chicken! It is so easy to make and you won't believe how delicious this is! French Onion Chicken Recipe
4 to 6 chicken breasts or thighs
1 medium sized yellow onion sliced
1 cup chicken broth
1 can each of french onion soup and cream of mushroom soup
4 to 6 slices of provolone
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder,
Butter
✔️Season the chicken with salt and pepper
✔️melt some butter and oil in a pan, about a tablespoon or two and brown the chicken on both sides, remove from pan and set aside
✔️sauté the onions in the pan that the chicken was browned in.
✔️add the can of French onion soup the can of cream of mushroom, gravy packet and chicken broth, stir until smooth .
✔️Add some of the soup mixture to the crockpot. Add the chicken and the onions then add the rest of the soup mixture.
Cook for 6 hours on high. 4 hours if using chicken breasts.
I added 6 potatoes after 2 hours (Optional)
After 6 hours add 4 to 6 slices of Provolone cheese to the top and cover until melted and serve

SWEET PORK TENDERLOIN, TORTELLINI & SAUSAGE SOUP, BREAD PUDDING:
MISSISSIPPI CHICKEN, SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS, CHICKEN CHILI:
CHICKEN TACOS:
MEATLOAF
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
salt & pepper
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
SAUCE
1/2 c. ketchup
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
In a large bowl add the beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt & pepper. Mix together until thoroughly combined. Line slow cooker with foil then spray with baking spray. Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place inside the slow cooker. In a small bowl stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture evenly over the meatloaf. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours. Remove excess fat if desired before transferring meatloaf to cutting board to slice.
CHICKEN & DUMPINGS
(I used 3 chicken breasts instead of thighs and seasoned with what I had on hand.)
KIELBASA WITH POTATOES & GREEN BEANS
(I doubled the recipe in the video.)
1 lb. kielbasa, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 small onion, diced
1 bag frozen green beans
1.5 lbs. baby yellow potatoes, quartered
1.5 c. chicken broth
salt & pepper
garlic powder
Spray inside of slow cooker with baking spray. Add in the potatoes, onions, green beans, and kielbasa. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour the chicken broth over top. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
