Egg Rolls or Spring Roll
Recipe:
Ingredients/Fillings ????????
1 Pound of Ground Pork
* 1 cup of finely chopped onions
• 1/2 cup of shredded carrots
• 3 cups of thinly sliced cabbage
• 3 cups of glass noodle (2 bundles)
• 1-2 eggs
1/2 of Sliced Woodear Mushroom
• 1/2 Cup of oyster sauce
• 1 tsp of golden mountain sauce
• 1 1/2 tbs of fish sauce
• 1 tsp of onion powder
• 1 tbs of garlic powder
• 1 tbs of black pepper
• 2 tbs of chicken bullion
• 1/2 tsp of sugar
Sealing Mixture ????????
1-2 Eggs ???? to be used to seal the Spring Roll Egg Roll Wrappers.
1. In a mixing bowl add in Ground Pork or Choice of Meat. Then add in all the ingredients listed above ????????, including the chopped onions, carrots, clear noodles, woodear mushrooms, cabbage and eggs.
2. Combine well, once completely mixed, set aside.
3. Using thawed Egg Roll or Spring Roll Wrappers, individually gently peel them. Place a damp cloth over it once completed. To prevent drying.
4. Crack 1-2 egg yolk in a small bowl, give a nice whisk. We are going to use this as a gluing agent, to seal our Egg Rolls.
5. Grab a piece of Spring Roll Wrapper, place it flat on your cooking area.
6. Rotate the Wrapper to a Diamond ♦️ shape, facing you (shown in video).
7. Place 2-3 Tbsp of the Fillings onto the wrapper, about 1 1/2 inches away from the edge corner of the wrapper (as shown in the video).
8. Lift the corner end of the wrapper and folding towards the fillings.
9. Once you fold toward the half way point or a just a little right before, fold in the left and right wing corners of the wrapper. It should look like an envelope ✉️.
10. Kept tucking in and folding in the edges of the wrapper, as roll up.
11. Stop rolling and leave about 1 1/2 inches of the tip of the wrapper for sealing.
12. Using your index finger or a mini brush , paste Egg yolk Mixture from earlier on to the the tip of the Wrapper evenly, then roll up to seal (as shown in the video).
13. Repeat all of these step and roll your desired egg rolls until completed.
14. Fry at Med High Heat or at 330-350 until Golden Brown. Usually 6-9 Mins depending on the size of your egg roll.
15. Serve with your choice of Sauce or enjoy it by itself. I used the Asian Sweet and Sour Chili Sauce, which can be found at almost all Grocery Markets in the international food aisle. Enjoy!
Notes ???? If you use Egg Roll Wrappers, it will be more Crispy and Thicker! Will more bubbly texture. Spring Roll Wrappers are Crunchy as well but thinner and has a Smooth Texture.
- Frying can be a little tricky! Depending if you reuse your cooking oil. Cooking time will be less as oil burn really fast.
- I always just keep my eye on it, and look for a gold brown color before removing is key.
- Once removed for frying. Let it rest! It will continue to cook.
- Use the ingredients you have at home, there are no right or wrong, you can put anything in your Egg Rolls or Spring Roll fillings.
- Flour and Water paste mixture and also be used to seal your Spring Roll Wrappers.

Egg Roll Wrappers-
All purpose flour 1 cup
Eggs 2
Oil 2 tbsp
Water 1 and 1/2 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Filling-
Chicken Boneless Mince 500gms
Cabbage 1medium
Carrots 3
Oil 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Red Chili 1 tsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Coriander 1 tsp
Garam Masala 1/4 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Butter 1tbs
Oil 2tbs
