How To make Alaska Sourdough Pancakes
1 c Sponge
2 c Flour
2 c Milk
2 Eggs
1 t Soda
3 tb Sugar
1 t Salt
2 ts Baking powder
Put starter in large bowl. Add 2 cups flour and 2 cups milk. Mix well and cover. Leave in warm place overnight. Next morning take out 1 cup starter. Leave room temperature 12 hours. To remaining sponge add 2 eggs, 1 tsp soda, 2 tb surgar, 1 ts salt, 2 tsp baking powder. Mix well. Cook on hot griddle. For smaller mixture take out 2 cups starter and use 1/2 the ingredients.

Sourdough Pancakes
Previously, we showed you how to make a sourdough starter and once again we have a tasty dish made with that same starter. Chef David has a sourdough pancake recipe that is easy to make. When you are using a sourdough starter in a pancake mix it pretty much replaces the flour and water that you would normally use. The rest of the recipe uses egg, milk, salt, sugar and butter in addition to the sourdough starter.

If you love pancakes but worry about lack of nutrients and blood sugar fluctuations, you need to try these fluffy sourdough pancakes. Sourdough fermentation means that gluten is broken down, these pancakes score much lower on the glycemic index, and because they're fermented, you also get to enjoy all the minerals that would otherwise be bound to phytic acid. Ingredients for the fluffy sourdough pancakes:
1 cup sourdough starter (mine is 80% organic white wheat and 20% wholegrain spelt, 80% hydration. If you don't have a starter, scroll down for the link to my tutorial on how you can make it from scratch)
1 large egg
2 tbsp coconut sugar (or any other whole foods sweetener that you like)
1/3 tsp. Himalaya salt or fine sea salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. organic baking powder
a pinch of vanilla powder
2 tbsp butter

The Best Sourdough Waffles / Pancakes!! ???? My own recipe! ???? With Buttermilk Syrup! ????
If you have sourdough starter make this recipe it is delicious for pancakes or for waffles! The recipe is down below for you! And also the buttermilk syrup. Enjoy!
Priscilla’s sourdough pancake/waffle recipe
Night before:
One cup sourdough
One cup milk or kefir
1 to 11/4 cups flour (Depending on how thick you want it)
2 tablespoons sugar
Mix all together, cover and sit out on counter overnight.
Next morning add:
1/4 cup melted butter
Two beaten eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all together and fry on hot griddle for pancakes or in a waffle iron!
Buttermilk syrup:
Melt 1/2 cup butter in a BIG kettle
Add one cup of sugar – dissolve
Add 3/4 cup buttermilk (Or 3/4 cup milk with 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar)
Bring it to boil
Add 1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring every so often.
Remember you will want a big kettle for this because it bubbles up really high!
