2 c Starter 1 Egg;beaten 1/2 c Beer 2 tb Oil 2 tb Sugar 1 ts Salt Flour;as needed 1/2 ts Baking soda add egg, beer, oil, sugar and salt to starter and mix briefly add flour to make desired thickness and mix till lump free. just before cooking dissolve baking soda to 1 Tablespoon water then mix in to batter. cook in hot skillet about 2 minutes on each side. -----

Sourdough in Paradise, Part 1
I am baking German style sourdough bread on the Hawaiian Island of Molokai.
Due to agricultural restrictions, I had to start the sourdough from scratch 3 weeks ago on the first Island, Kauai. I had problems with the tap water which contains chlor and killed the sourdough bacteria. Then I used bottled water, and the result was becoming gradually better.

Hi guys. I love this recipe, it's so simple. I wasn't a big fan of rhubarb before, but this has really made me think that its a great ingredient when used right. Super simple recipe and I had a lot of fun filming this... it's a bit cheeky. I have adapted this from one of Jamie's recipes from Jamie's Ministry of Food.
