The Juiciest most Tender Top Sirloin Roast on the Weber Kettle Spit
Now this is the juiciest most tender Top Sirloin Roast on the Weber Kettle Spit that we've ever tasted. Seasoned with our blend of secret spices this Top Sirloin Roast cooked on the spit in our Weber Kettle turned out better than we've ever expected. We've cooked in on the spit in the Weber Kettle but don't limit yourself with this method. If you haven't got a spit or a kettle, then use whatever is available to you, propane grill, pellet grill or even your oven.
We found this top sirloin roast on sale at $6.00 a lbs and since we are committed to shop for sales, $6.00 per lbs was right for us so we picked up a couple of this amazing cut.
Here is how we did it on the kettle
Recipe
Ingredients for Rub
• 1½ tsp black pepper
• 2 tbs onion powder
• 1 tbs garlic powder
• 1 tbs dill weed
• 2 tbs kosher salt
• 3½ lbs top sirloin roast
Directions
• Mix all spice ingredients together
• Rub generously roast covering all areas
• Add roast to spit
• Let it sit on the counter for 20-30 minutes
• If using your Weber Kettle Spit like we did
• Place hot coals on both sides
• Place dripping pan under roast
• Increase grill temp to 400℉
• Place spit in kettle and click the on switch
• Cook at 400℉ for 15 minutes
• Lower heat to 325℉ using the upper & lower vents
• Cook until internal temperature is 125℉
• When internal temp has been reached
• Remove from grill
• Let rest for 15 – 20 minutes covered with foil
• After resting time is done
