How To make Soya Bean Pate
1 c Soya beans, soaked
1 md Onion, finely chopped
1 tb Olive oil
2 tb Tomato paste
2 tb Black olives, pitted &
chopped 2 tb Parsley, chopped
1 pn Salt
1 tb Sesame seeds, lightly
:
toasted Drain the beans, cover with fresh water & bring to a boil. Boil hard for 10 minutes, reduce heat, cover & simmer until tender, about 2 hours, depending on the age of the beans. Drain & set aside. When cooled, mash. Heat olive oil & saute the onions until very soft, 10 minutes. Add to the mashed soya beans. Stir in the tomato paste, olives, parsley, salt if necessary (remember that the olives already add a salty flavour to the rest of the ingredients) & sesame seeds. Spoon into a serving dish & chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or toast sliced into fingers. Recipe by Mark Satterly

Okara Healthy weight Loss Recipes | Soya Pulp Recipe | Vegan Diet
Okara, a byproduct of soy milk and tofu production, is a nutritious and delicious ingredient. Here are 4 okara recipes to use leftover soybean pulp.
Okara is the insoluble part of soy beans and is nutrient-dense. Soy beans are a good source of manganese, phosphorus, and protein as well as a good source of iron, omega-3 fatty acids, dietary fiber, vitamin B2, magnesium, vitamin K and potassium. When compared to other plant foods, it’s relatively high in protein which makes it an excellent choice for vegetarian diets. 1 cup soy bean pulp is approximately 90 calories with about 4 grams of protein.
Okara or Soya Pulp- 2 tbsp
Gram flour -2 tb so
Rava -2 tbsp
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Carom seeds -1 tsp
Salt -1 tsp
Chili -1/2 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Water -1/2 cup
Grated vegetables-1/2 cup
Mix all ingredients and roast on tawa.
Pakora--
Soya Pulp- 3 tbsp
Gram flour 3 tbsp
Salt,cumin,chilli according to taste
Gram leafy vegetables 2 tb so
Chopped onion 1 /2 cup
No need to add water, kneed and fry till crisp
Halwa ---
Ghee 1tbsp
Soya Pulp-1 tbsp
Rava 1 tbsp
Roast these till it leaves ghee.
Then add 6 tbsp water and 2 tbsp jaggery.
Cook till it gets thicken.

Soybean Snack | A Great Crispy and Spicy Snack For Anytime
Ever wondered what to do with dried soybeans? This is the perfect occasion to find out what to make when your friends come over!!
Hello everybody,
It's nice to have you back!
In this video, I will show you a simple yet delicious snack made out of soya beans. It will be both crunchy and spicy, sounds good right? :)
The preparation will start a day prior, where you will have to soak 2 cups of dried soybeans in a bowl of water. This will make them bigger, so count for some extra water in that bowl.
Besides that you will need the following ingredients:
- 3 tbsp of oil (I made a mixture of sunflower and sesame for an extra punch)
- 3 tsp salt
- 2 tsp of chili (this really depends on how spicy YOU like it)
- 2 tsp of seasonal cajun and fennel mix (you can find these in almost any grocery store)
To start off the day of snacking, drain the soya beans and give them a good wash (take out the separated skins and the 'not so good lookin' ones'). After that, place them back in the bowl and add all the seasoning to it - give it a good mix. If you do this by hand, don't be touching your eyes - trust me on this one!
Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) on the FAN option.
Take some baking paper and place it on a baking tray and nicely spread all the soya beans on it.
Now it's roasting time! The baking will take around 30 minutes, but take them out every 7-8 minutes to give them a mix, so they don't burn that quickly.
At last, once you take them out of the oven, you can give them some extra flavor with 2 tsp of dried paprika and then transfer them to some kitchen paper so it soaks out the extra oil.
