Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes (Philly Joes)


Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs. Lean Ground Beef
1 Cup Sweet Onion (diced)
1 Cup Green Bell Pepper (diced)
1 Cup Mushrooms (chopped)
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. Ketchup
1 Rounded Tbsp. Cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp. water)
¾ Cups Beef Broth
8-9 Slices of Provolone Cheese
6 Hamburger Buns (Sweet Hawaiian or your choice)
6 Tbsp. Butter (softened)

Directions:

In a skillet on medium heat, add ground beef, onions, bell pepper and mushrooms. Cook until ground beef is browned, and veggies are tender. Then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, cornstarch, and beef broth and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

Then top the ground beef mixture with slices of provolone cheese. Cover and remove from heat to allow the cheese to melt.

Spread butter on hamburger buns and toast on a griddle until golden brown. Spoon the hot, yummy Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes mixture on the toasted buns, serve and enjoy!
