Jam-Filled Thumbprint Cookies Recipe ????
These delicious thumbprint cookies are made with a simple cookie dough, indented and then filled with your choice of jam! It is an all-time favorite cookie recipe, and the filling options are absolutely endless! ???? They are also the best gift you can give this festive season! So let’s get started on how to make the perfect thumbprint cookies!
You'll need
125 g butter
1 egg
1/2 cup vegetable oil (100 ml)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup starch
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
For the filling:
Your choice of jam
For decoration:
Powdered pistachios
Dark chocolate
1 cup = 200 ml
Here's how
In a mixing bowl, beat room temperature butter, vegetable oil, and eggs with a mixer until it reaches a creamy consistency. Add cornstarch, powdered sugar, flour, and baking powder to the mixture.
Knead the dough until you achieve a soft, non-sticky consistency.
Take walnut-sized portions of the dough and roll them gently in the palms of your hands.
Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure to space them apart.
Create indents in the center of each cookie. Once all cookies have these indented centers, bake them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for approximately 20 minutes.
After the baking time, fill the indentations of the cookies with jam. We used raspberry jam, but you can use any jam of your choice.
Place the cookies back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius.
Once out of the oven, let the cookies cool to room temperature.
Finally, decorate them with melted chocolate and powdered pistachios before serving. Enjoy your delicious treats!
