12 Tablespoons (170 g) unsalted butter softened
1 ½ cups (300 g) sugar
½ cup (100 g) light or dark brown sugar tightly packed
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 ½ cups (312 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (100 g) natural cocoa powder
1 Tablespoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
2 cups (250 g) powdered sugar for rolling
3 dozen milk chocolate kisses unwrapped

00:22 Combine the butter and sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer (or in a large bowl, and use an electric mixer) and beat together until ingredients are well-creamed.

Welcome to my first Holiday video of 2021
In this video, I show you how I make these deliciously soft and chewy double chocolate Hershey's Thumbprint cookies. These cookies are like a cookie and brownie combined into 1! These cookies are perfect for the Holiday season, for parties and potlucks and even as gifts! I guarantee everyone will love these. See the recipe below:
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar + 3 tbs to roll the cookies in
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 + 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sweetened cocoa powder
21-24 Hershey's Kisses
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar
2. Once creamed, add in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined
3. Set wet mixture aside and in a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder. Mix until combined
4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and fold using the spatula until a cookie dough forms and no flour is left in the bowl
5. Roll cookie dough using a small ice cream scoop or with your hands
6. Chill your cookies in the freezer for 15 mins and preheat your oven at 350F for 15 minutes
7. Once chilled, roll the cookies into granulated sugar and bake for 5-8 minutes (only roll the cookie dough you're going to bake right away)
8. Out of the oven, cool for 2-5 minutes and push a Hershey's kiss into the centre
9. Enjoy!
