INGREDIENTS
- saltine crackers to cover pan
- 16 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups chopped toasted pecans (optional)
- kosher salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Butter a 10×14 jelly roll pan and place the crackers in the bottom on a single layer. Set the pan aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, stir, and return the saucepan to medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes to dissolve the sugar.
- Once cooked, remove the caramel from the heat and pour over the prepared crackers evenly. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake until the toffee is bubbling all over, 6-8 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven. The crackers could be floating. Use a knife to place them correctly. Allow the toffee to cool for 1 minute. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on top. Allow the chocolate to melt for 1-2 minutes and spread it to cover the caramel layer evenly. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and kosher salt if using.
- Cool the toffee to room temperature, 1-2 hours. Once cooled, break into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.

From my farm to your home. ????
My name is Kaleb Wyse and here, you will find delicious recipes, videos from my farm, garden, and fun home projects. My knowledge has been earned from years of home cooks and farmers in my family.
A farm is much more than a house to live in; it’s a lifestyle. My passion for gardening and landscaping came from outdoor work with my mom in our expansive farm yard, my love for baking came from innumerable short walks to my grandma’s house to make cookies, and as a farmer, my dad taught me that we are the stewards of our land.
So whether you live in a city center or have decided rural life is for you, I hope to inspire you with the projects and recipes I use in daily life. We can’t all live on a farm, but we all need farms in our lives. From the dirt in my vegetable garden to the flour in my kitchen, I’ll show you everything I love to do.
Cracker Toffee Recipe | Christmas Crack
It's the holiday season and time to make some tasty treats, so today I'm sharing a classic Cracker Toffee recipe. Also known as Christmas Crack, this homemade candy is sweet, buttery, and festive--enjoy!
MINI CHRISTMAS CRACK VIDEO:
CRACKER TOFFEE
48 saltine crackers
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 12-oz bag milk chocolate chips
Toppings of choice: sprinkles, toffee bits, chopped pecans, crushed candy canes, etc.
Preheat oven to 375*. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray thoroughly with baking spray. Place the saltine crackers on the baking sheet in a single layer. Place the 2 sticks of butter into a saucepan and melt over medium heat. Add 1 cup of brown sugar and stir with a rubber spatula. Bring this mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Immediately pour over the crackers and spread it out evenly over top with a rubber spatula. Bake at 375* for 7-8 minutes. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over top. Place back into the oven for one minute. Use a rubber spatula to spread the melted chocolate chips evenly over top of all the crackers. Sprinkle your toppings all over the melted chocolate. Refrigerate for 2 hours then peel away from the foil and break into pieces. Store in the refrigerator. ENJOY!

How to Make Saltine Cracker Candy
With just 5 simple ingredients and under 15 minutes to prepare, this saltine cracker candy (saltine toffee) is one of the simplest, quickest candies I’ve ever made
↓↓↓↓↓↓ CLICK FOR RECIPE ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
Printable Recipe:
Ingredients
1.5 sleeves salted saltine crackers about 45 crackers
1 cup unsalted butter (226g)
1 cup brown sugar tightly packed (200g)
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (350g)
1 cup chopped pecans or other topping (100g)
flaky sea salt for sprinkling optional
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
00:25 Preheat your oven to 400F (205C) and line a standard-sized cookie sheet with foil. Lightly spray with cooking spray or grease lightly with butter.
00:53 Layer crackers evenly over the foil (salted side up); it's alright if there are spaces between the crackers and not every edge is completely filled in.
01:22 Prepare your toffee by combining butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Allow mixture to come to a boil and allow it to boil for three minutes -- do not stir while it boils.
01:58 Immediately remove from heat and pour over crackers (it's ok if some of them start to float, just try to keep them in an even layer), spread with a heatproof spatula to completely coat crackers.
Place in 400F (205C) oven for 5 minutes -- toffee will begin to bubble.
03:03 Remove from oven and evenly sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee. Return to oven for two minutes.
03:31 Remove and use a spatula or knife to spread chocolate evenly over crackers.
Sprinkle evenly with chopped pecans (or preferred topping -- or no topping!) and a scant amount of flaky sea salt.
Allow to chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until chocolate hardens. Cut into pieces using a large knife and serve.
