Making Macaronia tou Fournou
I've decided to share our family recipe of macaronia tou fournou, which is macaroni made in the oven, Greek style. The video gets quite interesting at the end, if your not interested in the actual making of the dish.... This is a favoured meal in our family and have enjoyed it for many years and hope my family will carry on the traditional recipe .....
Serves 8 Greek Cypriots
1 packet Macaroni
1kilo beef mince
1 haloumi grated
1 handful of chopped or dry parsley
2tbsp tomato purée
Cinnamon, pepper, salt, mint, to season
1/2 a glass of wine
3 chicken stock cubes
Oilive oil
White Sauce
200gr butter
200gr flour
4pts Milk
3 Eggs

???? Ingredients Cyprus Pastitsio (Lasagne) Baked Pasta Bechamel Sauce - Kıbrıs Fırın Makarnası Makaronia tou Fournou ????
▶️ 1 medium size onion
▶️ 10 sprigs of parsley
▶️ 250 grams of grated halloumi
▶️ 5 tablespoons of olive oil
▶️ 500 grams of minced meat
▶️ 1/2 cup of hot water
▶️ 1 teaspoon of black pepper
▶️ 2 teaspoons of salt
▶️ 500 grams of pasta No: 2 or No: 3
Optional:
▶️ 1 grated tomato and add it.
▶️ 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
???? Bechamel Sauce
▶️ 2 eggs
▶️ 1/2 cup of sunflower oil
▶️ 6 tablespoons of universal flour
▶️ 1lt Milk
▶️ 1 teaspoon of vegetable seasoning mix
▶️ 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Bake for 50-55 minutes at 180°C (or 356℉) in the upper-lower setting of the oven.

Greek-Style One Pot Pasta with Meat Sauce: Macaronia me Keema

Serves 6-8:
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup olive oil
2 small onions, finely chopped
4-6 cloves garlic, peeled
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1-pound uncooked pasta
5 cups of water
grated parmesan or kefalotiri
Place the chopped onion and garlic cloves along with the olive oil in a pot and cook over medium heat until soft and golden. About 15 minutes.
Add the ground beef along with salt, pepper, cinnamon, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Break up the meat and cook over medium-high heat 3-4 minutes or until browned.
Add the canned tomatoes. Rinse out the can with some water and add to the pot.
Cover the pot and cook over high heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce tastes acidic add 1 teaspoon of sugar or honey.
Add the pasta, 2 teaspoons salt, and 5 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer and cover the pot with the lid. Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is cooked al-dente. Taste and add some more salt and pepper if needed.
Add the parsley and stir.
Serve immediately.
To reheat the following day, add a ½ cup of water and warm through over medium-low heat.
Top with grated cheese and Enjoy!
