How To make Lemon Bars Deluxe
1 1/2 c All purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
14 oz Can sweetened condensed milk
Grated rind from 1 lemon 1/2 c Fresh lemon juice
2/3 c Butter
1 c Packed dark brown sugar
1 c Old fashioned oats
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Pour condensed milk into meduim sized bowl; add lemon rind and juice. Stir until smooth. Set aside. In a large bowl, cram butter and sugar. Beat well. On lowest speed, add dry ingredients, beating until blended. Mix in the oats. Sprinkle a bit more that half of the oat mixture evenly over the bottom of a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Pat to make a smooth firm layer. Spoon lemon mixture over oat layer and spread to make a thin, smooth layer. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture evenly over lemon layer. Bake in the lower third of a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes until lightly colored. Cool in pan; then refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting into squares. Store in refrigerator. Delicious strawberry lemon bars! Easy PINK lemonade bar recipe
This easy strawberry lemon bar recipe is one of my favourite summer desserts. These delicious lemon bars have an easy shortbread base and are loaded with strawberries, and packed with tart lemon flavor. These are also known as pink lemonade bars and they are the best lemon bars ever! Using a blender or food processor gives the filling a nice light airy texture, and the fresh lemon juice gives these lemon squares a wonderfully fresh citrus flavour!
This recipe makes an 8 x 8 Strawberry lemon bar. If you're looking for a 9 x 13 recipe, check out this great strawberry lemon bar recipe from another fantastic food YouTuber, Maikoh!
Strawberry Lemon bar ingredients:
Crust: 1/2 cup butter (melted and cooled slightly)
1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
Strawberry Lemon filling:
1 cup fresh strawberries
2/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
3 large eggs
Strawberry Lemon bar directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C. In a medium bowl combine butter and sugar. Cream on low for about 30 seconds until combined. Add all purpose flour and continue mixing until large crumbs form. Line and 8“ x 8“ pan with parchment paper and pour your mixture into the bottom. Pack it down to form an even crust. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and using a fork poke holes in but not through the crust. This is an important step in order for the lemon strawberry layer to stick.
In a blender or food processor combine strawberries, white sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and eggs. Mix until everything is well combined and the strawberries are broken down. Pour this over your prepared crust and return it to the oven for another 18 to 20 minutes. This will need to cool for four hours in the fridge. Lightly dust the top with powdered sugar, sliced into squares and enjoy!
