How To make Kraut Burgers
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
1 lg Onion, Finely Chopped
3 tb Shortening
2 Loaves Frozen Bread Dough *
1 sm Head Of Cabbage, Shredded
Salt & Pepper To Taste * Or substitute your favorite 2 loaf bread dough recipe. ~------------------------------------------------------------------------- Melt Shortening in skillet. Add beef, cabbage and onion. Cook until cabbage is nearly done. Do not brown. Drain, salt and pepper to taste. Roll bread dough, which has risen once to 1/4-inch thick. Cut in 5 to 6-inch squares. Place 2 to 3 heaping T of mixture on each square; bring
corners together and pinch sides shut. Let rise 2o minutes. Bake at 375?F for about 20 minutes or until brown. Brush tops with melted butter as the dough cools.

Kraut Burgers (Cabbage Burgers)
Ingredients:
2 lb. Ground Beef
1 Medium Cabbage, shredded (3-4 cups)
1 Onion, chopped
1 1/2 t. salt
1 t. Garlic Powder
1 t. Onion Powder
1 T. Garlic, minced
1/2 t. Pepper
1 can Grands Biscuits (or your own biscuit mix - if you have the time)
In this version, I use shredded cabbage instead of kraut. However, you can definitely swap the cabbage out for kraut if you'd like.
The humble cabbage is often overlooked. However, it has a lot of flavor, low in calories, and high in fiber.
Many state that it has several health benefits as well.
Because of these benefits, I've been trying to incorporate it more into the family diet!

How to make homemade Kraut burgers. seasoned green beans, roasted sweet carrots | Cooking with April
1 lb of ground beef or Turkey
2 large onions
1 head of cabbage
Cooked ground beef or Turkey until done.
Season with salt and pepper
Once meat is completely done add in onion and cabbage together cook until both are done. Allow it to cool.
Roll out dough either homemade or store bought
As thin or thick as you prefer
Place mixture in palm of dough in your hand
Fold dough around the mixture and make sure the dough completely encompasses mixture.
Place on greased baking sheet bake on 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crispness of your preference.
Sever with chips or salad or whatever your heart desires.
Enjoy.
How to make Kraut Burgers
Bread dough
1 cup warm water
3 cups flour
1.5 tsp salt
1 Tbs sugar
yeast
Filling -
1 small sweet onion
half head cabbage
1.5 - 2 lbs hamburger
Brown hamburger, add cabbage and onion until wilted
350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown
