How To make Golden Brown Coffee Cake
CRUMB MIXTURE:
1 c C and H Golden Brown Sugar
-- firmly packed 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1/4 c Butter
1/3 c Finely chopped walnuts
CAKE BATTER:
3/4 c C and H Golden Brown Sugar
-- firmly packed 1/2 c Butter
3 Eggs
3 c All-purpose flour
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 c Buttermilk
1 ts Vanilla
Crumb mixture: Combine sugar and flour. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in nuts. Set aside. Cake: Cream together sugar, butter and eggs. Combine remaining flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add buttermilk alternately with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. Batter will be thick. Spoon half the batter into well greased 12 cup bundt pan, sprinkle with half the crumb mixture. Add remaining batter and top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes. Invert on cake plate. Cool. (May be served warm, but not hot.) 12 to 16 servings. -1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
-1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

-1/2 Tsp Salt
Wet
-3 Tbsp Oil
-1/4 Cup / 50G Brown Sugar
-6 Tbsp/ 90mL Whole Milk
-1 Egg (55G)
-1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Crumb Topping
-3 Tbsp AP Flour
-1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
-1/2 Tbsp Sugar
Bake at 375F / 191 C for 15 mins or until golden brown.

Martha shows us how to make the coffee cake batter with light brown sugar, butter cubes, lemon zest, all purpose flour and sour cream. The trick to nailing the citrusy flavors is poaching the sliced lemons in simmering water before layering them into the cake batter, removing all of the bitterness and leaving only sweetness. Drizzle a glaze—made from sifted confectioner sugar and more Meyer lemons—over the cake before enjoying a slice with a warm cup of coffee. Your morning just got a whole lot sweeter.

Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake
This is my favorite cake and my most popular cake!
Ingredients:
STREUSEL TOPPING AND CENTER
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
3/4 cup coarsely chopped almonds
CAKE:
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
FOR GLAZE:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons whole milk
For the streusel topping, mix nuts, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt together. Then add in your cold sliced butter. Pulse mixtures using a food processor or work the butter into the dry ingredients using two butter knives. Butter knives is recommended to get the perfect streusel. Chill streusel while making cake batter.
For cake batter, start off by creaming room temperature butter in a mixer for about two minutes, then add in white sugar and mix until fluffy(about 2 minutes).
Add 2 eggs; one egg at a time beating after each one.
Add in vanilla
Last, add in sour cream and flour alternating sour cream and flour.
Grease tube pan
Add half the cake batter into pan and spread evenly, then add half streusel topping.
Add rest of cake batter covering streusel. Add the rest of streusel on top.
Bake cake for 50-55 minutes on 350F until golden brown or toothpick comes out clean.
To make glaze, mix milk and powdered sugar together until smooth.
When cake is warm and cooled drizzle glaze over cake
