How To make Dan's Peppery London Broil
1 Beef flank steak
about 3/4
1 Garlic clove :
minced
1/2 teaspoon Seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon Crushed red pepper
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
"I was bored making the usual London broil, so I got a little creative and sparked up the flavor with crushed red pepper, garlic and Worcestershire sauce." - Dan Wright With a meat fork, poke holes in both sides of meat. Make a paste with garlic, seasoned salt and red pepper; rub over both sides of meat. Place steak in a gallon-size plastic bag. Add Worcestershire sauce and close bag. Refrigerate at least 4 hours, turning once. Remove meat; discard marinade. Broil or grill over hot coals until meat reaches desired doneness, 4-5 minutes per side. To serve, slice thinly across the grain.

London Broil Smoked On The Weber Kettle
In this video I take a Top Round, which is often marketed as London Broil, and smoke it on the Weber Kettle using the Vortex after an overnight marinade. This cut of meat can sometimes be tough, but cooking it indirect with a quick sear near the end results in a tasty, tender hunk of beef.

London broil in the Dutch oven
London broil cooked in the Dutch oven:
•
•
1 London Broil
3 tablespoons EVOL
1 large yellow onion, cut into 1-inch chunks
3 cloves garlic minced
1 bottle/ can of beer
2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 large carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 large celery stalks, cut into 1-inch pieces
2-3 medium potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 head of cabbage Chopped
Chopped fresh parsley for garnishing
•
•
Add olive oil to Dutch oven and brown cubed meat working in batches. (Six minutes generally to cook each side). Once cooked put the meat onto a plate and set aside. Heat up onions and garlic then add in your beer, beef broth, Worcestershire, tomato paste and all the spices. Once the liquid comes to a boil add the beef back in cook for 45 minutes and then add in all the veggies. Let them cook for another 30 to 45 minutes. Remove one cup of liquid and add the flour. Once flour is mixed into liquid pour it back into the Dutch oven and let it come to a boil. When you’re ready to serve use the fresh parsley to garnish your bowl. If you don’t like parsley you can omit that. I prefer to serve mine over rice or with a crispy baguette.
London Broil Steak on the Weber Kettle
In this easy cooking video, I cook a London broil steak on my Weber kettle charcoal grill. I seasoned the steak with kosher salt and Johnny's Seasoned Pepper, and cooked it indirectly until the internal temperature reached about 120 degrees F. Then I seared it for a minute or 2 on each side. Total cooking time was about 45 minutes and the grill temperature was about 350 degrees F.
