Caprese Salad Recipe / Sliced Tomato Mozzarella Salad - Easy Salad Recipes
Ingredients

Fresh Mozzarella cheese - 7 slices
Tomato - 7 slices
Fresh basil leaves - 12 leaves
Salt & Pepper to taste
Extra Virgin olive oil as needed to drizzle on top
Method

Take a tray arrange the cheese and tomato alternatively.
Place fresh basil leaves in between the slices.
Spring salt & pepper on top.
Lastly drizzle olive oil over the salad,serve it as an appetizer.

5 different color tomatoes (I used Yellow, purple, red)
1 pound fresh mozzarella
fresh basil, leaves only
sea salt
Coarsely ground black pepper
High-quality extra-virgin olive oil

Tomato and Mozzarella Salad - Caprese Salad (tomato salad)
Recipe for 1 big or 2 small servings

Ingredients:
3x Tomato, fresh (345g)
1x Mozzarella, fresh (160g)
5 twigs Basil, fresh (12g)
1 Tbsp Vinegar / Balsamico (8g)
3 Tbsp Olive oil (20g)
Salt and Pepper
Preparation method:
- Wash the tomatoes and remove the core on top.
- Cut the tomatoes in slices of about 0.5cm thickness.
- Cut the Mozzarella ball in half and then into thin slices.
- Remove the leaves from the Basil stem.
- Lay a tomato slice on a dish or plate, top it with a Basil leaf and then a slice of Mozzarella, repeat this process until all tomatoes, mozzarella and basil is used.
- Season the salad with salt and pepper.
- Mix the olive oil and vinegar with a spoon together and drizzle it over the salad, enjoy :D
Notice:
- You may also add thinly sliced onions on top of your salad if you like.
- If you intend to prepare this salad in advance, do not put the dressing (salt, pepper, oil and vinegar) on top. Wait with the dressing until before serving the salad.
This easy and tasty summer salad goes perfect with grilled meat or as a whole meal for lunch or dinner.

Shelf life:
This salad can be kept well covered in the fridge without the dressing for about 2 days but will always be better prepared fresh.
With the dressing the salad should be kept in the fridge and consumed the next day.
The taste will change quickly, and the salad will get very watery.
