1/4 c Green Chilies, diced
1/4 c Tomato Sauce -or- Mild Chili
-Salsa (green or red) 4 Green Onions, chopped
1/4 ts To 1/2 ts Cumin
1/2 Garlic Clove, minced
30 oz Can Refried Beans
Keywords: Diabetic This dip makes a marvelous burrito filling. Simply spoon the bean dip inside a warm tortilla and roll up. For an even easier bean dip, combine several tablespoons of salsa with refried beans and serve with tortilla chips. Low-Fat Cheese, freshly grated (optional) Combine chilies, tomato sauce, onions and seasonings in a saucepan and cook until onions are tender. Add beans and cook approximately 8 minutes. Serve either hot or cold; top with grated low-fat cheese if desired. INGREDIENTS
2 cups (380 g) cooked pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
1/4 cup (60 ml) juice of pickled jalapeño
1/2 tsp (2.5 g) salt
1/4 tsp (.5 g) pepper
1 tsp (4 g) garlic powder
1 tsp (4 g) onion powder
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp (4 g) chili powder
8 oz (227 g) chunky salsa of your choice
10 oz (454 g) sour cream
3 oz (90 g ) cheddar cheese (shredded)
small 2.25 oz can (64 g) sliced black olives (drained)
3 scallions (55 g) (chopped)
NOTE: Add a layer of fresh avocado ir guacamole to make this a 7 layered dip

How to Make 7 Layer Bean Dip
It’s not a football party at our house without a big platter of 7-layer bean dip! Everyone loves this easy Mexican dip that has layers of flavored refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheese, olives, and green onion.
INGREDIENTS: ????
2 cans refried beans (black or pinto)
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 avocados, peeled and seeded
1 Tablespoon lemon juice (or lime juice)
8 ounces sour cream
3/4 cup salsa
1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheeses (cheddar and Monterey Jack)
6 ounces black olives, sliced
2 green onions, chopped
1 Roma tomato diced, for garnish (optional)
tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions: ????
1. Add the refried beans to a mixing bowl. Season with chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder. Taste and add more seasoning if desired.
2. Spread beans into a single layer on a large serving plate or in a 9x13'' pan.
3. Add avocado and lemon/lime juice to a bowl and mash well with a fork.
4. Spread into an even layer, over the beans.
5. Spread sour cream into an even layer, over the mashed avocado layer.
6. Dollop small spoonfuls of salsa all over the top of the sour cream layer.
7. Sprinkle with cheese, followed by olives, and then green onion. You could also add a diced tomato for garnish (optional).
8. Refrigerate until ready to serve (this can be made a day in advance). Serve with tortilla chips.
