2 cups apples, peeled and sliced. I used granny smith apples.
2 tsp lemon juice
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
Directions:
Peel and slice apples, about 1/4 inch thick and squeeze lemon juice over the top.
Combine 1/3 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp nutmeg and 1/8 tsp salt in a blender or food processor.
Pulse until combined.
Add in butter, 1 Tbsp at a time, pulsing between each addition.
It will look like wet sand and begin to clump together.
In a small baking dish, about 5 x 5 or 6 x 6 inch. layer half of the apples.
Sprinkle apples with 1/2 of crumble mixture. Repeat with remaining apples and crumble mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 - 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly and crumble topping is golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to thicken up.
