How To make Amish Cookies 2
1 c Sugar
1 c Powdered sugar
1 c Butter
1 c Corn oil
2 lg Eggs
1 ts Vanilla extract
4 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Cream of tartar
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
Beat first 6 ingredients together well. Sift remaining ingredients together; add to first mixture, and blend well. Shape dough into small balls. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes (check before that, so they don't overbake). Makes about 8 dozen. -----

Drop Sugar Cookies
(Amish Church Cookies)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup sweet milk (whole milk)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs, well beaten
Sugar for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix all the ingredients except the sugar for sprinkling until well combined. Drop on a cookie sheet and flatten a little. Sprinkle sugar on top. Bake for about 9 minutes or until cookies are lightly brown. Enjoy!

Amish friendship starter peanut butter cookies
1 cup starter
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
blend together.
add 2 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
roll balls in sugar and bake at 350 for 10 mins

2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup shortening
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butterscotch morsels
1 cup chopped nuts your choice
Beat brown sugar, eggs and shortening together add flour baking soda and cream of tartar.
When cookie dough seems dry then add vanilla.
Lightly spray pan place cookies 2' apart using small cookie scoop
Bake at 350 8-15 minutes depending don't overbake place on cooling rack.
Makes 40 cookies

Here is the recipe for the cookies-they are amazing!
Amish Friendship Bread Starter Chocolate Chip Cookies
This makes 5-6 dozen cookies!
1 cup of Starter
1 cup of butter
1 cup of shortening
1 1/2 cup of brown sugar
3/4 cup of white sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
5 cups of flour
1/2 tsp salt
16 oz bag of chocolate chips
preheat oven to 350
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs-one at a time then vanilla and starter. add dry ingredients and fold in chips.
bake for 11-14 minutes. my oven took 11 minutes for how we like them

Amish Heirloom Family Cookies | Peanut Butter Cake like Cookies | Lemon Glazed Delights
Annie’s Amish Peanut Butter Thick cookies
1 1/2 to 2 c peanut butter
1 c soft butter
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
Mix
Add 2 eggs. Mix
Combine 3 c flour
1/2 t salt (opt)
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
2 t vanilla
Mix together then add to wet. Do not over mix.
Bake 350
For me it was 13 minutes (not 16 like I said in video. Ooops????????♀️)till just right. I prefer to underbake.
Annie’s Amish Lemon Glazed Cookies (full recipe, or follow video for half)
1 c soft butter
1 c oil
1 c white sugar
Mix
2 eggs
2t vanilla
Zest of one lemon
Mix with above mix.
41/2 c flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cream of tartar
Mix together till just combined.
Roll into balls place on cookie trays. Tap each cookie down gently.
Bake 375 8 to 11 min. Lightly browned. Don’t overtake.
Glaze
Zest of 2 lemons
Zest of 2 lemons or (1/2) c juice
4T melted butter
4 c confectionery sugar.
Whisk together gently.
Allow cookies to cool. Frost generously.
