How to make Broad Beans Veggie Patties - Vegetarian|Vegan Recipe |Vegan Patties|
Easy homemade patties that goes with your favourite buns to make veggie burger, if you do not have buns you can make a nice delicious sandwich perfect for breakfast and lunch. It can easily serve as a side with your relish or meat kind for dinner.
Ingredients
I medium sized carrot (cut)
2 cups broad bean (cooked and drained)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 small onion diced
1/2 medium size plantain (cut)
1/4 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 Mrs Dash (original)
1/4 tbsp oregano
1/4 tbsp black pepper
2 tsp olive oil
Handful of parsley (cut)
2 stalk scallion (cut)
1/2 tsp garlic powder (or 1 clove garlic)
Instructions
1) Add carrots, 1 cup broad beans, onion, parsley, scallion and plantain to the food processor and chopped. Do not chop until mixture is soft. 1 chop will do for 5 second.
2) Transfer the chopped mixture in a bowl then add the remaining broad beans, salt, oregano, black pepper, Mrs Dash, paprika and mix until the season is evenly distributed.
3) Add the bread crumbs mixture and combined evenly.
4) Divide mixture in half. Make patties in a circular shape.
4)Add oil to a heated pan and when oil is hot add patties. Cook for 8 mins or when its golden brown flip on other side.
5)For the remaining mixture make patties. Preheat oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius. Bake patties for 8 to 15 mins. Flip on the other side half way through.
6) Serve with buns, breads, salad or as a side dish

Ingredients:
1½ cups (260g) quinoa
3 cups (720ml) water
1 carrot
1 zucchini
1 onion
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/4 bunch parsley
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon + 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons + 3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
1. Rinse the quinoa under cool water, until the water comes out transparent. Put rinsed quinoa in a medium saucepan. Add water, 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the quinoa is fluffy. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Let cool. Transfer to a large bowl.
2. Finely chop the onion, grate zucchini and carrot. Chop fresh parsley.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add crushed garlic, grated zucchini and carrot. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 7-8 minutes.
4. To the bowl with cooked quinoa and the cooked vegetables, 1/2 tsp salt, black pepper and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
5. With your hands, shape patties from the mixture.
6. In a large pan with olive oil. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel.

Today I'm bringing you black bean patties! While they might be a pretty standard vegan hamburger alternative, I've always been bothered by how easily they fall apart! These patties taste great AND happen to be gluten free, but I've also put them to the fall-apart test multiple times and they stay together to the last bite. Ingredients:
- 1 small white or yellow onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1.5 cups black beans
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4-1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste or ketchup
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 0.5-1.25 cups oat flour
