How To make Walnut Brownies
1/4 cup shortening
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
In a small mixing bowl, cream shortening and cocoa; beat in egg, sugar and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat on low speed until thoroughly combined. Stir in walnuts. Pour into a greased 8x4x2" loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Editor's Note: This recipe may be doubled and baked in an 8 inch square pan for 20-25 minutes. Recipe submitted to magazine by Lorraine Silver, Chicopee, Massachusetts, who learned to make these brownies in home economics class. Now 41 years later she still makes these brownies. Walnut Brownie
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Akhrot (Walnuts) 1 Cup
-Cooking milk chocolate 200g
-Makhan (Butter) 125g
-Cocoa powder 1/4 Cup
-Sugar ½ Cup
-Brown sugar 1/4 Cup
-Anday (Eggs) 2 (room temperature)
-Vanilla essence ½ tbs
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp
-Baking powder 1/4 tsp
-Maida (All-purpose flour) sifted ½ Cup
-Cooking milk chocolate chunks
-Akhrot (Walnuts) roughly chopped ½ Cup
Directions:
-Roughly chop walnuts & cooking milk chocolate into chunks & set aside.
-In a saucepan add butter and let it melt.
-Add 100g cooking milk chocolate (reserved 100g for later use), cocoa powder & mix well. Cook on low flame until chocolate melts & set aside.
-In spice mixer add sugar, brown sugar and grind coarsely.
-In a bowl add ground sugar, eggs, vanilla essence and whisk well.
-Add prepared chocolate mixture and mix well.
-Add salt, baking powder and whisk again.
-Add all-purpose flour and mix well.
-Add chopped walnuts and give it a good mix.
-Grease 7 x 9 “oven safe baking dish with cooking oil and place butter paper.
-Pour brownie batter in prepared baking dish and add reserved cooking chocolate chunks (100g) & walnuts.
-Bake in preheated oven at 175 C for 20-25 minutes.
-After baking, let it cool and cut into pieces. Serve !

-Saucepan mein makhan daal ker melt ker lein.
-100g cooking milk chocolate (reserved 100g for later use) aur cocoa powder daal ker ache tarha mix karein aur halki ancch per chocolate melt hunay tak paka lein. Ab side per rakh dein.
-Spice mill mein cheeni aur brown sugar ko coarsely grind ker lein.
-Bowl mein ground cheeni, anday aur vanilla essence daal ker ache tarha whisk ker lein.
-Tayyar chocolate mixture daal ker ache tarha mix ker lein.
-Namak aur baking powder daal ker dubara whisk ker lein.
-Maida daal ker ache tarha mix ker lein.
-Ab akhrot daal ker mix karein.
-7 x 9 “oven safe baking dish ko cooking oil se chikna karein aur butter paper laga lein.
-Brownie batter ko tayyar baking dish mein daal dein aur reserved cooking chocolate chunks (100g) aur akhrot daal dein.
-Preheated oven mein 170 C per 20-25 minutes tak bake ker lein.
-Oven si nikal kar thanda ker lein aur pieces mein cur ker lein. Serve karein !

Butter (salted) - 1½ tbsp or 22 gms
Dark Chocolate - 30 gms
Sugar (powdered) - 1½ tbsp or 10 grams
Vanilla - a few drops
All-purpose flour (maida) - 4½ tbsp or 35 grams
Milk - 2tbsp or 30ml
Walnuts roasted & crushed - a handful
Chocolate Chunks - a handful

Easy Walnut Brownies
Hi guys today I will be sharing a alternative recipe for brownies vewry easy to make and delicious I got the recipe from Master chef so I hope you give them a try and hope you like it too.
200 g of dark baking chocolate
200 g of butter
3 eggs
80 g plain flour
250 g brown sugar
60 g cocoa powder
1 cup of walnuts (optional )

This recipe of chocolate walnut brownies will render perfect crisp crackly top, super fudgy centre, chewy or gooey in all the right places. You will never go to a cafe to eat that delectable piece of brownie after trying this recipe.
Full ingredient list
Unsalted butter 100g
Dark couverture chocolate (73.5%) 185g
Group B
2 eggs
Brown sugar 80g
Caster sugar 85g
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Group C
All purpose flour 75g
Salt 1/8 tsp
1/2 tsp Double acting baking powder
Unsweetened cocoa powder 20g
Miscellaneous
50g chopped walnuts
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 170 degree Celsius
2. Grease an 8 inch square tin with butter and line it with parchment paper.
3. Leave some parchment paper on 2 sides of the pan for easily removal of baked brownies.
4. On a pot of boiling water, place a heat proof bowl. Make sure that the bowl does not touch the water.
5. Cube unsalted butter into small pieces and tip into the bowl.
6. Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces (or use buttons as I have used in the recipe) and add to the bowl of butter cubes.
7. Melt the chocolate and butter together on a medium heat.
8. You need to constantly stir until chocolate and butter are completely melted.
9. Remove the bowl from the heat and let the chocolate butter mixture completely cool down.
10. Whisk in two eggs (one by one ) into the batter.
11. Now whisk in both the sugars and the vanilla extract.
12. Whisk thoroughly until everything is fully incorporated.
13. Sieve all the dry ingredients into the wet ingredient mixture and fold until fully combined
14. Pour the batter into the prepared pan
15. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on the batter.
16. Bake at 170 degree Celsius for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out with a little crumbs attached to it.
17. Remove from oven and let it cool completely in the tin itself. (at least an hour)
18. Cut into neat squares and serve with ice cream.
Notes.
1. You are free to use the salted butter in this recipe. If you do so skip the extra salt that is mentioned in the recipe.
2. Don’t be tempted to take out hot or warm brownies from the pan. They are very fragile in texture and will crumble badly.
3. I suggest that before cutting the brownies keep them in the refrigerator for about an hour.
4. For melting the butter and chocolate in microwave place both the things in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 20 seconds. Take it out and give it a stir. Repeat the process until the chocolate and butter have completely melted.
