How To make Urad Dal Ki Roti
250 g Flour
250 g Urad dal
1 ts Turmeric powder
1 ts Ginger powder
1 ts Coriander powder
1 bn Sliced coriander leaves
3 Green chilies; minced
1 sm Onion; minced
Salt; to taste Chilli powder; to taste 1 ts Crushed pomegranate seeds
Boil dal a few minutes, or soak overnight. Drain, and grind coarsely. Fry dal and dry spices in 2 tablespoons ghee for a few minutes, then cook, covered, over low heat until the dal is cooked. Remove from heat. Cool and mix in flour, chillies, onion, coriander leaves, and pomegranate seeds. Add enough water to make a stiff dough. Using balls of dough the size of lemons, roll each roti out into a thin circle. Fry each roti in oil. Serve hot. Adapted from a recipe in "Cooking the Punjabi Way" Typed for you by Karen Mintzias

The Urad Dal Rotti is a delicious Rotti made with a spiced Urad dal, onion, ginger and green chili filling. It is Diabetic friendly Rotti and a good option to add proteins into your diet. Have it for dinner or a Sunday brunch and enjoy the goodness of the lentils with your family.
The Urad Dal Rotti Recipe a healthy and delicious flat bread that is stuffed with a flavourful cooked Urad dal, onion, green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves filling. It is minimally spiced with cumin powder and coriander powder which lends a great taste to the Urad Dal stuffing .The Urad Dal Rotti is a perfect way to add the proteins to your diet. Have it forBreakfast / dinner or a Sunday brunch and enjoy the goodness of the lentils with your family.

600ml Water
Salt To Taste
1 Tspn Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Crushed Green Chillies
1/4th Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 - 2 Tsp Oil
2 cup Pearl Millet Flour
Salt To Taste
Hot Water
1 Cup Curd with 1/2 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Tsp Whole Cumin
2 Red Pepper
1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic
