Strawberry Cheesecake-Stuffed Pound Cake
Strawberry Cheesecake–Stuffed Pound Cake
Serves 10
INGREDIENTS
1 store-bought pound cake
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup strawberries, diced
PREPARATION
1: Cut the center out of the pound cake, leaving a half-inch border on the bottom and along each side.
2: In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer to beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until the mixture is smooth.
3: Add the strawberries and beat until the mixture has turned a light pink color but there are still nice strawberry chunks.
4: Pour the cream cheese mixture into the hollowed-out pound cake shell.*
5: Using the removed pieces of pound cake, crumble bits of cake on top of the cheesecake mixture to form a thick layer of crumbs.
6: Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
7: Slice into 10 half-inch slices and serve.
8: Enjoy!
*Be careful when filling the pound cake and when transferring to the refrigerator. Cutting the border too thin may cause the sides to spread too far once the cheesecake mixture is added. You can simply place the pound cake on a plate or tray before filling to make the transfer to the refrigerator easier. Use something to prop up the sides in case they’ve bowed out too much, to prevent breaking. Once the filling has set in the fridge, it will hold its shape.
Easy to make Korean Stir Fried Noodles or JAPCHAE
KOREAN STIR FRY NOODLES [ JAPCHAE ]
Hi everyone, welcome to my channel. Today, I’m going to share with you how to make Korean stir fry noodles or Japchae. It is a very popular Korean dish. These Korean noodles are made from sweet potatoes or they call them glass noodles. You can add any vegetables you like to the noodles. It’s a light and healthy dish. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
150 grams sweet potato noodles
120 grams beef
2 tsp light soy sauce
Sesame oil
1 egg
2 cloves garlic
5 rehydrated shiitake mushrooms
½ carrot
½ green bell pepper
Sesame seeds, roasted
Marinade:
2 tsp light soy sauce
½ tsp cornstarch
½ tsp sugar
½ oil
Sauce:
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp water
1 tsp sugar
STEPS:
1. Slice beef into strips.
2. Slice mushroom, carrot and peppers
3. Slice the garlic.
4. Mix the beef with the marinade and set aside.
5. Cook the noodles in boiling water for 5 minutes. They will turn soft and almost transparent when cooked.
6. Drain and rinse in cold water.
7. Transfer to a big bowl.
8. Cut and shorten them using scissors.
9. Add 2 tsp light soy sauce and sesame oil.
10. Mix well and set aside.
11. Heat pan and add oil over medium heat.
12. Fry whisked egg like an omelette.
13. Remove from the pan then cut into strips and set aside.
14. Heat another pan and add oil over medium high heat.
15. Sautee the beef until almost cooked.
16. Transfer to a plate.
17. Add some more oil.
18. Add garlic and saute until aromatic.
19. Add carrots, peppers and mushroom and cook until soft.
20. Toss back the noodles and heat evenly.
21. Add beef and egg strips.
22. Add the sauce ingredients.
23. Stir to combine.
24. Dish up and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
25. Serve while it's hot.
26. Enjoy.
Happy cooking!!!
