Tostadas!!
Tostadas made with Ground Turkey! I love to use some of my homemade salsa to season my ground turkey or ground beef when I make taco or tostadas. You can also use a store bought salsa of your choice to season your meat if you don’t have a homemade salsa.
1 lb of lean ground turkey or just ground turkey.
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
1 teaspoon of tomato bouillon
1 teaspoon granulated onion or 1/4 diced fresh onion.
2 cups of water
1/4 to 1/2 cup of salsa
Place the turkey in a pan on medium high heat. Let the turkey start to brown. Now add the water, tomato boullion, onion, garlic, cumin, and salsa. Give it a good mix. Then let it continue to boil on medium heat until the water is mostly boiled down. Once it’s cooked and water is boiled down take off the burner and set aside. Now you can use tostada shells from the store or you can fry your own corn tortillas. I used my own corn tortillas and sprayed them with cooking pin and let them broil until they were crispy! I like to broil mine so that I can cut back on the grease from frying them in a pan. Once you have your tostada shells ready, add your ground meat to your shell and top with all of your favorite toppings. I topped mine with lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoes, cheese and some more salsa!! Enjoy ????

Turkey Tostada
Ingredients
• 1 pound of ground turkey
• 1 packet of taco seasoning
• 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained
• 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1/4 cup chicken stalk
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin
• 4 Roma tomatoes, diced
• 1 jalapeño, diced
• 1 lime, juiced
• 2 teaspoons cilantro, chopped
• 3 Tablespoons cooking oil
• Tostadas, heated to package instructions
• Lettuce, cheese, and sour cream for topping
Directions
1. Place a small pot over medium high heat and add 1 Tablespoon of the oil and the onions. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Then add 2 cloves of garlic, cumin, beans and chicken stalk. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-12 minutes.
2. Place another pan over medium high heat and add 2 Tablespoons of oil, once hot add the turkey and follow the instructions for the taco seasoning.
3. While the turkey and beans are cooking cut up the tomatoes, 2 cloves of garlic, jalapeño and cilantro. Once chopped mix with the lime juice to create your salsa and set aside.
4. After the beans have cooked for 10-12 minutes they’re ready to mash, you can use a potato masher or immersion blender to do this. Make them as smooth or chunky as you like; if they’re not smooth enough add a little more chicken broth as you mash them.
5. To assemble take a tostada shell and spread some beans on it and add turkey, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
