1 Egg 1/2 c Brown sugar 3 tb Unsalted butter 1 ts Vanilla 1/3 c Flour 1/4 c Hazelnuts 1/4 c Pecans FOOD IN A FLASH SHOW #FF2010 AIR DATE: 1/19/96 Preheat oven to 400. Mix egg in food processor. Add sugar, butter & vanilla. Process together a few sec. Add flour. Blend well. Add hazelnuts & pecans. Process until nuts are coarsely chopped. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto buttered baking sheet. (don't crowd!) Batter will spread. Bake 3-4 minutes until crispy. Great with ice cream!! Approximately 8-10 minutes. -----

This year's Christmas celebration requires something special. So special that I had to dip into the old recipe box to make something nostalgic from my childhood. Oreshki in Russian means Nuts and since they resemble walnuts I call them the Walnut cookies. These cookies were very popular during the soviet time and were made only on special holidays.
