Obviously it wouldn't be accurate for us to say that this is a classic Indian Authentic Recipe. The reality is that this is my Grandma's recipe. Back in the day Indian ingredients were harder to source than it is today in the UK. So Indian immigrants had to make do with what they had. This is one of those recipes that originated out of necessity. It became a family favourite. It tasted divine and, moreover, cooking it was so effortless and simple.
As kids, we'd love it when we came back from school and she told us we were having spicy beans. It's such a warming dish. It's so simple but it tasted beautiful. All of us loved this dish. Try it out and play with the volume of Chilli. My Grandma would serve it with freshly made Chapattis.

1/2-1 cup BBQ sauce
1. Cut the bacon into 1-inch pieces. Add to a skillet and cook over medium-high heat until about ¾ done. Set aside.
