GUACAMOLE RECIPE
5 Avocados
½ cup chopped red onions
2 Table Spoons Chopped cilantro
The juice of 1 lime , 1 Oz more or less (can always add more if necessary)
A pinch of black pepper
Salt to taste
Half chopped jalapeno or serrano pepper for spiciness (optional)
Choose ripe avocados, soft to the touch, but not too soft that your finger goes through. It is a good idea to buy the avocadoes green (hard) and let them at room temperature to ripen up for about 2 to 3 days. Use a sharp knife to cut avocados in half, discard the pit and scoop the pulp with a spoon into a stainless steel or ceramic bowl. Add the rest of ingredients and smash with the back of a fork. Be careful not to overdo it. It should be of a chunky consistency, not puree. Taste for lime and salt, serve. Can be made and refrigerated 2 hour before serving.

Fresh Flautas Served Hot And Crispy From This LA Food Stand | Fam To Table
Estiven Torres, owner of Los Dorados LA and LA’s first flautas-only eatery, became inspired after his father-in-law’s recipe was a huge hit at a 2017 family baptism. He’s since gotten the hang of expertly frying taquitos in a makeshift setting, working out of a food truck that’s stationed in front of bars on weekends. The two flautas per order cost $6. They're served fresh and piping hot, on a paper tray, topped with homemade red and green salsas, crema, and cotija cheese. Host Crystal Lee pops by to find out what makes these flautas so easy to eat.

EAST LOS ANGELES MEXICAN FOOD TOUR// CHILAQUILES BURRITO, TACOS, GUISADOS, PORK LENGUA, STREET FOOD
LOS CHINGONES-
1365 S Dacotah St, Los Angeles, CA 90023
Started the tour off here to get their famous chilaquiles carnitas breakfast burrito. This is definitely my favorite breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. The flavors and textures are amazing. I ordered mine with a mixture of the carnitas which came with maciza, buche and cueritos. They fry their tortilla chips on the spot and boil their carnitas every morning. You can definitely taste the freshness from all their ingredients. No matter what time you come, there will be a line. I can confirm that it is worth the wait. You have to come here if you’re looking for an insanely flavorful breakfast burrito.
GUISADOS LAS CAZUELITAS-
1011 S Atlantic Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90022
United States
This was my first time ever trying tacos de guisados. I have been wanting to try this style of taco for so long. A couple of people told me to come to las cazuelitas so I decided to stop by for the tour. I was so surprised how this little street cart operated. There were 2 really nice girls that were running the whole stall. They were taking orders, cooking, pressing tortillas and making sure everyone was satisfied. The service was 10/10. Since it was my first time trying guisados, I didn’t know what to expect. But first off, the flavors and spices were so strong. I loved how all of the stews had very different flavors and spice levels. It truly felt like a comforting breakfast. I left feeling good lol
LOS CINCO PUNTOS-
3300 E Cesar E Chavez Ave Los Angeles, CA 90063 United States
This spot is a HUGE staple to east LA. It has been around since 1967 and has been in a couple classic movies. I was so hyped to try this out. When you come here, it feels like a very classic style taqueria. They have a super dope open kitchen and dining area. When I walked in, I smelt and saw 10 cauldrons of tripas boiling. And If you know me, that is one of my favorite meets in a taco. Sitting in the dinning area It felt like I was eating in the 90’s lol. I got to meet the owner and he was a super nice down to earth guy. He actually let me customize my 2 taco orders. I ended up ordering carne asada mixed with beef tripas. And for the other taco I got pork snout mixed with pork tongue. These were insanely flavorful. The meats were cooked to perfection and the handmade tortillas were so fluffy and thick. They’re known for putting nopales and guacamole on their tacos so I had to get everything. Eating these almost didn’t feel like tacos. They were so packed and loaded.
KING TACO
4504 East 3rd Street
Los Angeles, CA 90022
United States
I saved the best for last. I can write about this place for days. King taco was the spot that got me into tacos. I remember coming here many times with my family as a young kid. It’s safe to say I’ve tried the whole menu lol. Even though this is a Chain , the quality still hasn’t went down at all. My favorite thing to order here is the carne asada. You can order anything with Asada and it will be so good. Their marinate is the secret here. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Another thing that makes this place so special is that the salsa is so fire. I can’t even explain the flavor. You guys just need to try it for your self. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
