How To make Quick Sukiyaki
Ingredients

steak, round, 3/4 inch thick
1 1/2
cup
mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1
cup
carrots, diagonally sliced
1
cup
celery, diagonally sliced
1/2
cup
onions, green, cut in 2 inch pieces

tablespoon
salad oil
1
each
beef gravy, 10 1/4 oz can
1/2
pound
spinach, fresh, torn in bite size pieces
2
tablespoon
soy sauce
1/2
cup
radishes, sliced
1
rice, cooked, hot
Directions:
Freeze meat 1 hour to firm (makes slicing easier); slice into very thin strips. In skillet, brown mushrooms and cook carrots, celery and onions in oil until just tender; push to one side. Add meat; cook until color changes. Add gravy, spinach and soy. Heat; stir occasionally. Stir in radishes. Serve with rice.
Makes about 6 cups, 6 servings.

Ingredients:
1-2 package udon
½ head napa cabbage (about 10 leaves/1.8 oz/690 g)
½ bunch shungiku (Tong Hao or Garland Chrysanthemum) or any leafy vegetables (please read the blog post) (7 oz/200 g)
1 negi/Tokyo negi/long onion
1 package enoki mushrooms
8 shiitake mushrooms, carve decorative shapes
1 package Yaki Tofu (9 oz/255 g)
⅓ carrot for decoration (optional)
1 package shirataki noodles (yam noodles) or cellophane noodles (7 oz/198 g)
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 lb (454 g) thinly sliced beef rib eye for Sukiyaki (or slice your own meat)
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 cup dashi (or water) to dilute the sauce
Sukiyaki Sauce
1 cup (240 ml) sake
1 cup (240 ml) mirin
¼ cup (60 ml) sugar
1 cup (240 ml) soy sauce

Mom's Beef Sukiyaki recipe
Beef Sukiyaki is a delicious japanese dish prepared and served in a hot pot
The meat can be beef or pork but personally, I prefer thinly sliced beef with layers of fat for a more flavorful broth
????Note: All ingredients are can be bought locally at groceries international section or some mini Japanese groceries
????Tip for japanese food lovers: Stock up with Kikkoman soy sauce, Hon mirin, Sake and Dashinomoto since most of their dishes base are made with these just like teriyaki sauce.

Here is mom's recipe:
Serves: 4 to 6
????️2 lbs thinly sliced Beef
(Sometimes we use beef cubes, but cook it
thoroughly and make the meat is tender)
????️600grams Chinese cabbage / Pechay
????️150grams Onion leeks
????️2pcs White onions
????️2pcs fresh eggs (add more if desired)
????️A pack of Dae Jang Gum Silk Tofu
????️Shitake mushrooms
????️Shiratake noodles
????️Cooking oil
For the broth ????
????️1 and 1/4 Cup Kikkoman soy sauce (Must be
Kikkoman)
????️ 100g Brown sugar
????️ 1Tbsp Hon mirin (Sweet rice wine)
????️ 1Tbsp Cooking sake (Rice wine)
????️ 2 Cups of water
????️ 15g Dashinomoto

Tips: tastes way better if the eggs are a bit raw, it improves the quality of the broth

Sukiyaki(Serves 4)
<Ingredients >
▶︎400g Chuck roll (thinly sliced)
▶︎100g Green onions
▶︎1 Onion (200g)
▶︎1/2 pack Shimeji mushrooms (50g)
▶︎1/2 Carrot (60g)
▶︎1/2 Firm Tofu (150g)
▶︎☆6.5 tbs Dark soy sauce
▶︎☆6.5 tbs Mirin
▶︎☆6.5 tbs Cooking Sake
▶︎☆3 tbs Sugar
<Instructions>
(1) : Cut the green onions into 4cm lengths and the onion in half and into 1cm pieces against the fiber. Cut off the end of the lump of Shimeji mushrooms and separate them. Peel and thinly slice the carrot. Cut the firm Tofu into 3cm cubes.
(2) : Mix ☆seasonings and dissolve the sugar well.
(3) : Put about half of the mixed seasonings (2) in a pot and bring to a boil. Then add vegetables, meat, and Tofu and cook over medium heat (800W 170-180℃).
(4) : When they are cooked, ready to eat.
*Not all the ingredients are added to the pot at once. When the ingredients in the pot run low, add seasonings, vegetables, and meat, and cook as you eat. It is a common way to eat in Japan.
*You can change the part of the meat as you like. Gooseneck rounds are leaner and healthier. Chuck rolls, ribloin, and sirloin have rich flavors.
*1 tbs=15ml / 1 tsp=5ml
*The temperature setting of the induction cooker is for reference only.
