Coffee And Walnut Cake Recipe | Coffee Cake Recipe UK | Bank Holiday Food
Coffee And Walnut Cake Recipe that is a popular UK Coffee Cake Recipe. This is great bank holiday food to have as well, a wonderful cake to share with family and friends.
This coffee cake recipe is a delicious treat ideal for bank holiday baking, birthdays and other special baking occasions!
You can (if you want) add crushed additional walnuts to the sponge mixture. It is just that I have had a few people beg me not to do this, as they hate walnuts and even pick them off the top, to make just a coffee cake. Your choice... but not adding into the sponge gives people the option, rather than seeing them hunt through the sponge picking bits out!
This coffee and walnut cake recipe is super easy to make, and more importantly it is hard to resist. The favourite classic cake of many coffee mornings, you can leave out the walnuts if you like, but I like the combination of the two flavours together. You can also make this cake fairly quick from scratch, so don’t worry if you are not Nigella or Mary Berry, anytime can give this coffee cake a go!
This old fashioned traditional coffee and walnut cake recipe, may be a classic but sometimes you just long for something which has simple flavours to go with your espresso.
