How To make Mom's Slow Cook Chili
1 lb Ground chuck
- 3 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
1 t Chili powder
1 lg Can of Hunt's Chili Beans
-onion powder, garlic powder -to taste 3 c Water
1/2 ts Paprika
Brown the hamburger in a pan or at the bottom of the pressure cooker. Add salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste. Add the tomato sauce, water, chili powder and paprika. Stir well. Mount the lid on the pressure cooker and bring to full pressure. Let the gauge rock for 10 minutes slowly. Bring pressure down immediately by immersing in water or letting water run over the top of the cooker. Remove lid and add entire can of chili beans. Place on stove at low-medium heat until mixture heats thoroughly. Makes enough for 4 people with lots of leftovers. (It tastes even better reheated the next day, we think!) Serve with crackers or biscuits. If you use a crock-pot instead: Follow basic directions, putting all ingredients except chili beans together in the pot. Let cook about 7-8 hours. Add the chili beans in the last 2 hours or so. If you don't have time for that, you can cook it all in the pot, then transfer it to a stock pot before adding the chili beans. INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 lbs beef chuck roast
2 lbs ground beef 85/15 meat-to-fat ratio
1 small to medium onion
4 guajillo peppers plus 1 cup soaking liquid
2 to 4 cloves garlic
2 to 2 1/2 cups beef stock or broth
12 fl oz bottle of dark lager beer
1/4 cup masa harina
1/4 cup light chili powder
2 Tbsp chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp beef bouillon powder
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp Maggi seasoning sauce
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp cracked black pepper
salt to taste
6 to 8-quart Slow Cooker
Cook on High for 4 to 5 hours or low for 7 to 8 hours

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs (908 g) lean ground turkey
1 small onion
1 small bell pepper
4 cloves garlic
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 Tbsp chicken bouillon powder
1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp oregano (I used Mexican oregano)
1 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp sugar
8 oz (227 g) tomato sauce
10 oz (283 g) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles
15 oz can (425 g) black beans
15 oz can (425 g) pinto beans
salt to taste

Instant Pot Chili Recipe:
2 pounds ground meat
1 small onion diced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup beer
1 cup beef stock
1 tablespoon Chili Seasoning Blend
4 cups cooked kidney beans 2 (15 ounce) cans rinsed and drained
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Turn your instant pot to the saute function and allow it to heat up until it reads Hot
Brown the ground meat with the diced onions, until just browned through--about 5 minutes.
Add in minced garlic and saute for another minute or two.
Turn Instant Pot Off.
Drain off any excess grease and return inner pot to pressure cooker.
Add in your beer and stock and scrape up the browned bits off the inner pot.
Add in chili seasoning, beans, crushed tomatoes, and stir well.
Place lid on instant pot with valve closed to sealing.
Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
Let pressure release naturally--about 15-20 minutes. Remove lid and stir In Worcestershire sauce.
Chili Seasoning Recipe:
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Stir to combine and use as recipe calls for.
EASY CROCKPOT CHILI FOR WORKING MOMS
This recipe is so easy for moms of all kinds! Just throw a bunch of ingredients into a slow cooker and come home to a delicious warm meal. Perfect for back to school and the fall season!
Ingredients:
32 oz vegetable broth
Morning Star Chik'n Strips
1 can cannelli beans
1 cup frozen corn
2 tbps of minced garlic
and a dash of:
seasoned salt
table salt
black pepper
minced onion
ground cumin
oregano leaves
garlic powder
and one bay leaf
Throw all of those into the slow cooker for 8 hours! When you come back, top with sour cream and cheese and serve! :)
Skip the sour cream and cheese to keep it vegan.
