New Orleans - HUGE FOOD TOUR!! Green Oysters, Mufuletta, Jambalaya, + Po’boys!!
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Welcome to New Orleans, one of the most exciting cities in the United States and one of the most delicious. Today we’re going on an ultimate food tour of the old French Quarter of New Orleans. We’ll be eating a lot of delicious and legendary food, and I’m going to share everything with you in this video now.
Thanks to Derek Robinson, my brother in law for featuring in this video. He roasts amazing coffee:
Here are the places we went:
Cafe Du Monde French Market ( - Easily the most recognizable and iconic coffee shops in New Orleans, and probably the United States, Cafe Du Monde serves unique chicory coffee and beignet. Although seemingly always packed, it’s a great place to get your day started when you’re in the French Quarter.
Central Grocery and Deli ( Price - $22.60 - Next up we walked down the road to Central Grocery and Deli, home of the original muffuletta, a gigantic round sandwich with a variety of meats and cheeses, but most importantly an olive salad. The olives are what totally set it apart.
Coop's Place ( - Price - $29 - Unfortunately Coop’s Place is only over 21, and they don’t allow filming inside. So we took our rabbit sausage jambalaya and étouffée to go. Both dishes were delicious, especially the jambalaya!
Verti Marte ( - All That Jazz Po' boy - $14.68 - Next up on this ultimate food tour in New Orleans, we stopped at Verti Marte for a giant Po’boy that included just about everything you could possibly imagine. It was a heavy sandwich but totally worth it.
Galatoire's ( - Price - $40 - $60 per person - Next up for dinner, I made a reservation at Galatoire's, known to be one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. Although they didn’t invent Oysters Rockefeller, they make a great version of them, and for me that was one of the highlights. Also, don’t miss the flaming coffee to finish your meal!
Brennan's ( - Price - $22.04 - Finally completely unplanned, because we were right around the corner, we headed to Brennan's where they invented Bananas Foster! As Derek said, the best bananas foster he’s ever had.
And that wraps up this ultimate food tour in the New Orleans French Quarter. It was an amazing day exploring Creole and Cajun cuisine and culture in New Orleans!

2 Pound TURKEY WINGS!! Giant SOUL FOOD at Laura’s II - Lafayette!
???? Ultimate PoBoy Tour:

???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!
LAFAYETTE: Welcome to Lafayette, Louisiana, and today we’re going to eat at Laura's II, what is easily one of the best Soul Creole food restaurants in the United States. They are famous for giant stuffed turkey wings which are about 2 pounds each, okra stew, and rice and gravy. Let’s see how the turkey wings are made and let’s eat!
I arrived to Laura’s II in Lafayette a little early in order to meet with Madonna. Madonna’s Grandmother, Laura, had a restaurant originally in a different location, and so that’s why the restaurant is called Laura’s II. They serve a variety of Creole Soul food, including a variety of rice dishes, stewed and smothered vegetables, bbq ribs, and the most famous of everything - giant stuffed turkey wings. The turkey wings are stuffed with a blend of spices including cayenne peppers, then seasoned fully with red pepper, and then boiled in a baking pan for 3.5 hours. The result is ultra tender turkey wings that are slightly crispy and gooey all at the same time. The sides dishes, including the rice and gravy and rice dressing (dirty rice), were outstanding, as was the smothered okra.
I can not emphasize this enough, it was probably one of the best Soul Food meals I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t miss Laura’s II when you’re in Lafayette, Louisiana!

5 Mega SANDWICHES in One Day!! ???????? Best NEW ORLEANS PO'BOYS You Have To Try!!
???? America’s Best Fried Chicken:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!
NEW ORLEANS - One of the the best New Orleans foods to eat for a quick meal is a po’ boy, one of the signature style sandwiches in New Orleans Louisiana. Before going to New Orleans, I thought a po’ boy (or poor boy, po’boy) was a fried shrimp sandwich New Orleans, but I learned it’s not only shrimp, but you could have deli meats, roast beef, oyster, grilled shrimp, or even cheese and turkey. There are many types of po’ boys and in this ultimate Po’ Boy tour we’ll be eating at five places and trying five different types of po’ boys.
Thanks to Derek Robinson, my brother in law for featuring in this video. He roasts amazing coffee:
Here are the po' boys:
1. Guy's Po-Boys ( Price - around $13 per po-boy - We started off at Guy's Po-Boys and I think it’s one of the best places in all of New Orleans for po’boys. We tried both the grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, and the fried catfish. They were all three spectacular, though I think the best was the grilled shrimp.
2. Domilise's Po-Boy & Bar ( - Shrimp po’ boy - $15 - One of the oldest and most historical places to eat at sandwich in New Orleans in Domilise's Po-Boy & Bar. I tried the fried shrimp and the roast beef, both of which were delicious. So much character at this neighborhood favorite.
3. R & O Restaurant and Catering ( - Roast beef po’ boy - $10.30 - Next up on this po’boy tour in New Orleans, we went to R & O Restaurant and Catering specifically for their famous roast beef poor boy. It was huge and loaded with roast beef, and totally unique sandwich eating experience.
4. Liuzza's by the Track ( - BBQ shrimp po’ boy - $15.95 - Next we tried Liuzza's by the Track for their New Orleans grilled shrimp po’boy. I wasn’t sure exactly how to eat it, but it was tasty and that was an extremely addictive sauce.
5. Parkway Bakery & Tavern ( - Oyster po’ boy - $18.49 - Finally to complete this New Orleans food tour, we tried the oyster po’boy from Parkway Bakery & Tavern, which is one of the most famous restaurants in New Orleans. The oysters were tasty, especially with a lot of Louisiana hot sauce.
And that completes this iconic tour of the best Po’ boys in New Orleans!

The Best FRIED CHICKEN in America!! ???? Soul Food at Willie Mae’s in New Orleans!
???? New Orleans Food Tour:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!
NEW ORLEANS: Welcome to Tremé, New Orleans, and today we’re eating at Willie Mae’s Scotch House ( one of the most historical restaurants in New Orleans known for their amazing soul food and serving some of the best fried chicken in the United States!
Willie Mae’s Scotch House originally started in 1957, but it didn’t start as a full restaurant like it is today. Instead, it was a barbershop, salon, and a bar. With the bar customers came a demand for food, and soon their food became famous - so well known that the food took over and it was turned into a restaurant. In 2005, Ms. Willie Mae Seaton was awarded with a James Beard award for “America’s Classic Restaurant for the Southern Region.” This prestigious award opened new doors and really put Willie Mae’s Scotch House on the map across the United States. Ms. Willie Mae Seaton has since passed away, but her legacy of delicious food and caring for the community will never be forgotten.
I ordered a number of fried chicken plates all coming with different sides. Let me first tell you about the fried chicken - battered and deep fried. But the batter didn't feel too heavy or caky, and what I liked the most is that when you bite down, the entire skin crispiness doesn’t all come of, but rather stays on the chicken. The chicken was so moist and juicy and the flavor was salty with a hint of spice. Willie Mae’s Scotch House has been named the best fried chicken in America, and I’m not going to argue!
The sides were also delicious, I loved the beans and rice, the green beans and the fried okra. Amazing fried chicken, delicious Soul Food side dishes, and a preservation of New Orleans history and culture.
Price - $15 per plate
