Bianca shares her recipe for a delicious 'lasagna al pesto'. It's a special dish and a special episode because we collaborated with Pixar, who asked Pasta Grannies from Liguria to watch their Luca trailer; the result is a 'reaction video' which I've added to the end of this episode. Bianca and the other nonne you'll meet over the coming weeks all appear in it. The recipe is a long one. You'll need a lot of good quality, fresh basil pesto, about 400g; 700ml béchamel sauce; pasta dough, using 300g 00 flour and 3 eggs, rolled out and cut into squares to fit your deep baking dish, one large baking potato, 200g fine green beans; grated parmesan to scatter over the top.

I remember the first time I visited Genoa, I was there for work and didn't have any time to explore the city. One day though I got some free time for lunch and I went with a friend to a nice little restaurant in the port area. I don't remember exactly what else I ate there, but I definitely remember that I had Lasagne al Pesto for the first time. They were so creamy, so rich and so intense that every now and then I have the need to prepare them and go back to those memories. Of course if you make the lasagna from scratch and the bechamel and pesto sauces are homemade the result will be spectacular, but even with ingredients that you can find at the grocery store, the result will still be amazing.
I decided to change my uploading schedule and to start publishing new videos every two weeks instead of weekly, it just fits better with my lifestyle and works better for many reasons. This should also guarantee a better content quality. :)
