-MARILYN FRIEMAN WJFH60B 2 lb Cream cheese 1 3/4 c Sugar 5 Eggs 15 Oreo cookies 1/2 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Almond extract Butter Pan well. (I use a 8 inch round with 3 inch walls). Whip chhese until soft and add sugar, combine until fluffy. Add extracts and eggs. Beat until mixed but, not too long. Chop oreos into pieces and fold into mixture. Pour into pan and place in a pan of 1 or more inches of water. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours (check after 1 1/4 hr) until center is set. Cool in pan of water. When cool turn upside down on plate. The bottom become the top. Sprinkle with cookie crumbs. I sometimes add chopped heath bars or twix bars .

Christmas Morning Breakfast
Welcome to A Dash of Gratitude!
Come see what I’m making for my family of five for Christmas morning breakfast! We usually have a few extra family members and this menu is a real crowd pleaser. Sweet, savory, oh so good!

Beth’s Breakfast Casserole:
16oz ground breakfast sausage, cooked and drained 10 eggs 1 C sour cream 1 onion diced and sautéed 1 bell pepper diced and sautéed 2 C shredded (Tilamook) cheese + extra to top with Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350. Combine eggs, sour cream and cheese. Mix well. Add cooked sausage and vegetables. Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Top w extra cheese. Bake for 30-45min or until cooked through. Can assemble the night before. Refrigerate over night and bake the next day.
Slow Cooker Grits:
1.5 C Stone Ground Grits 6 C water 2 tsp salt 2 C whole milk 4 Tbsp butter 12 Oz grated cheddar cheese
Combine grits, water and salt in slow cooker. Whisk together to break up any clumps. Cook on LOW for 7 hours, or overnight. 20 min before serving, add milk, butter and cheese. Stir. Cover. Serve when cheese is melted. May serve with extra cheese and butter to top. Salt and pepper to taste.
