Ishli (Ishler) cake is a delicate and crumbly almond cake with a layer of sweet and sour jam and covered with chocolate glaze. You will find this recipe in any Austrian cookbook.
Ingredients:
Butter — 100 Gram,
Sugar - 80 Gram,
Vanillin - 1 Pinch,
Almonds - 100 Gram (crushed),
Flour - 200 Gram,
Dark chocolate - 100 Gram,
Cream 35% - 2 tablespoons,
Jam - 100 Gram,
Chopped nuts - 50 Gram,

Heart-Shaped Ischler Cookies
This cookie is a “bite size” sandwich cookie. They store in the fridge well,
but because they are so delicious…they will not last!
Great for parties & special occasions!
*NOTE: Due to how these cookies are made, the recipe is in the description ONLY.*
*The video shows the PROCESS, you will need to READ this description to get the MEASUREMENTS*
Ischler Cookies
*Oven @ 400 degrees Fahrenheit, baked for 6-8 minutes*
Cookie Dough:
* 250 grams (2 cups) flour
* 150 grams (2/3 cup) butter
* 80 grams (2/3 cup) powdered sugar
* 100 grams (1 cup) ground walnuts
* 1 egg YOLK
Juice of ½ Lemon
Chocolate Filling:
* 3 egg YOLKS
* 60 grams (1/2 cup) powdered sugar
* 80 grams (2 ¾ oz) dark chocolate
* 140 grams (2/3 cup) butter (room temperature, soft)
Glaze:
* 80 grams (2 ¾ oz) dark chocolate
* 3 TB. oil (any of these: sunflower, canola, or vegetable)
