How To make Hungarian Chicken
6 T Flour
1 ea Broiler-fryer chicken*
1 ea Onion; large-chopped
1 1/2 T Paprika
1 t Salt
2/3 c Chicken broth
1 ea Parsley-buttered egg noodles
1 ea Salt & Pepper to taste
1/4 c Butter or margarine; divided
2/3 c Tomato juice
1 t Sugar
1 ea Bay leaf
2/3 c Sour cream
*The chicken should be about 3 1/2 lb. size, and cut up in serving pieces. Combine flour, salt and pepper and place in a plastic bag. Shake chicken, a few pieces at a time, in flour mixture. Melt 1 T. butter in a large skillet. Saute onion iuntil tender. Remove from pan and set aside. In same skillet, melt remaining butter and brown chicken on all sides. Combine tomato juice, paprika, sugar and salt. Pour over chicken. Add bay leaf, broth and reserved onion. Cover and simmer 45-60 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken to a platter; keep warm. Reduce heat to low, remove bay leaf and stir in sour cream. Heat through 2-3 minutes. Do not boil. Pour sauce over chicken and noodles. Serve immediately. Ingredients
Chicken thighs bone in
Butter
Oil
2 onions fine diced
3 cloves garlic just smashed with the back of the knife
Salt
pepper
pinch of dried thyme
3 tbsp paprika
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato puree
1 cup chicken stock
Sour cream as much as you like to make it creamy
Chopped parsley
Slow Cooker 6 hrs high - 8 hrs low
Unfortunately my sour cream was nearly frozen in the fridge - making it look like it had curdled - after it had settled it was smooth.

Paprikahuhn! Besorgen Sie sich für dieses Rezept Paprika auf dem Markt: Am besten eignet sich süßer oder scharfer ungarischer Paprika. Geschmackvolles, köstliches Gericht, das jeder probieren sollte! ▶ Kochrezept und Zutaten:
4 Hähnchenschenkel
Salz, schwarzer Pfeffer
etwas Pflanzenöl
~ 30 g Butter
1 Esslöffel Olivenöl
Bei mittlerer/hoher Hitze ca. 5 Minuten auf jeder Seite braten
1 große rote Zwiebel
3-4 Knoblauchzehen
3 Teelöffel Paprika
2 Esslöffel Mehl
3-4 reife Tomaten
200-300 ml Brühe
Geschmack nach Salz, Gewürzen
Fügen Sie nach Bedarf Salz, Pfeffer oder andere Lieblingsgewürze hinzu
Bei schwacher Hitze ca. 25–30 Minuten köcheln lassen
3-4 Esslöffel Sauerrahm
zum Kochen bringen und ca. 2 Minuten kochen lassen
Das ist ein unglaublich leckeres Hähnchen in Soße!

Welcome to my channel!
Today I am making my son's favorite Hungarian dish - Chicken Paprikash.
I like to thicken my sauce with a sour cream and flour mixture, which make the sauce rich and delicious! Today I serve my paprikash with dumpling, (recipe can be find on my channel)
This recipe is great with cooked spaghetti (this is how my son like his) or you can use any type of cooked pasta as a side.
