3/4 c Butter or margarine (i use butter) 1 c Sugar 2 Eggs 1 c Sour milk (add 1 tbls. vinegar to milk (let stand 15 minutes 3 1/2 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda (mix dry ingredients togethe -r 1 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Vanilla Mix shortening and sugar together, beat. Add eggs, one at a time. Add sour milk alternately with flour mixture. Then add vanilla. Drop 6-8 tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. (Space them widely apart) Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. Should be brown around edges. Makes about 24 cookies(large) Frost half with chocolate and half with vanilla frosting.
