A day of eating in Toronto's lockdown - AGAIN! - Kaala Channa, Moong dal ke Cheele, Plantain
INGREDIENTS LISTED BELOW ⬇⬇⬇ Hello everyone! I'm back with a what I are in a day type of video. As we continue to practice social distancing, we've been eating most of our meals at home. Actually, we were doing that anyway. Nevertheless, here's a look at everything we ate in a day during the continued coronavirus pandemic. Hope you get some inspo!
MOONG DAL CHEELE
3/4 cup moon dal soaked for at least 2 hours
1 green chili (optional)
1 clove of garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp jeera
salt to taste
approximately 1/3 cup of water for grinding
Dhania Chutney:
KAALA CHANNA
1 cup kaala channa soaked overnight (8-10 hours)
1 small onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1 large tomato (1/3 cup canned tomato purée)
1/4 tsp hing / asafoetida
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp kashmiri chili powder
2.5 cups water
salt to taste
CUCUMBER RAITA
1 cup yogurt (even plant based yogurt)
1/3 cup water or more if preffered
All to taste:
chaat masala
kaal namak
roasted cumin (bhuna hua jeera)
1/4 cucumber grated

Homemade Baby Food
Broken wheat/ cracked wheat with veggies Puree
Important:
Wheat is allergic if you are giving for the first time offer small quantity in the first half of the day and watch out for any allergy. If there are no adverse reactions, gradually increase the quantity.
Ingredients:
????half cup Broken wheat/ cracked wheat/ daliya /bulgur
????1 small onion
????half tomato
????half cup peas
????half cup spinach
???? 1 small carrot
????turmeric powder
????ghee/ unsalted butter
????3 cup water
Procedure:
????Heat ghee or oil in a cooker on a medium to low heat.
????Saute onions first until slightly golden, then add tomato and cook until tomato turn soft.
????Add turmeric powder, saute just for a min.
????Add veggies carrots, spinach and peas. Saute for 2 to 3 mins.
????Add broken wheat in cooker and fry for about 2 to 3 mins.
????Pour water
????Cover and pressure cook on a medium to low flame for 2 whistles. Off the stove and leave it on the stove for a while.
????When the pressure goes off. Open the lid and stir.
????Once cooled, you can either mash it or blend it in a blender according to your feeding method.
Note:
Consult your pediatrician before introducing any solids to your little one.
