TODAY'S RECIPE IS Bakery Style Dry Fruit Cake | Vanilla Fruit Cake Recipe | Yummy
INGREDIENTS:
DRY FRUIT 1/4 cup
FLOUR 1 TSP
KEEP ASIDE
SOFTEN BUTTER - 100GM
VANILLA - 1/2 TSP
POWDER SUGAR - 1/2 CUP
MIX UNTIL FLUFFY
2 EGGS (substitute 1/2 cup curd or condensed milk)
FLOUR (MAIDA) - 1/2 CUP
MILK POWDER - 1 TBSP
CORN FLOUR - 1 TSP
BAKING POWDER - 1/2 TSP
6 INCH PAN
GREASE OIL
PLACE BAKING PAPER
PLACE A STAND & HEAT THE PAN FOR 5 MIN. ON MEDIUM FLAME
AFTER 5 MIN PLACE THE MOULD
COOK IT ON MEDIUM LOW FLAME FOR 30-40 MIN
OR BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN AT 180c FOR 30-40 mins
NOTE: 1 CUP = 250 ML

FRUIT CAKE
Ingredients
180 gm Butter / बटर
180 gm Sugar / चीनी
2 tbsp Tutti fruiti / टूटी फ़्रूटी
1 tsp Vanilla essence / वनीला एसेंस
180 gm Flour / मैदा
4 Eggs / अंडा
¼ cup Almonds, chopped / बादाम
¼ cup walnuts chopped / अखरोट
¼ cup Tutti fruiti / टूटी फ़्रूटी
Process
In a mixing bowl, add butter, sugar, tutti fruiti and mix well till the butter change the colour.
Add vanilla essence, flour and mix well, add egg and mix well.
Add almonds, walnuts, tutti fruiti mix well by cut and fold method.
Grease the mould with butter and place butter papper.
Pour the batter into the mould and bake it at 165 to 170 for 40 minutes.
Dust icing sugar over the cake. Let cool a bit. Cut and serve.

This Christmas Fruit cake Recipe is so simple and easy to make.

Complete written recipe :
Ingredients needed:
Flour:220 gms
Butter: 220 gms
Brown sugar:220 gms
Eggs: 3 large
Baking powder:1 Tsp
Salt:1/2 Tsp
Vanilla Sugar:1 Tsp
Zest of one lemon and orange.
1 tsp of mixed spices
600-800 gms of mixed fruits and nuts
Method
In a bowl,
1.Cream Butter and Sugar
2.Add eggs (one at a time)
3.Add in the flour mix (combination of baking powder,salt and vanilla sugar)
4.Add in the citrus zest,spices and dried fruits into the batter
5.Bake it at 350 F preheated oven for 2-3 hours.
As this type of rich fruit cake requires longer baking time and little less baking temperature than normal cakes; Keep the cake tin on the lower rack of the oven and after one hour of baking,Cover the top of the cake tin with an aluminum foil and continue baking .After two hours,check the doneness of the cake by poking a skewer into the center of the cake and if it comes out clean,our cake is done!

Holiday Fruit Cake
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Sugar ¼ Cup
-Water ½ Cup
-Orange juice ½ Cup
-Kali kishmish (Black raisins) ¾ Cup
-Kishmish (Raisins) 2-3 tbs
-Tutti frutti ¼ Cup
-Chuwaray (Dried dates) chopped ¼ Cup
-Maida (All-purpose flour) sifted 2 Cups
-Darchini powder (Cinnamon powder) 1 & ½ tsp
-Jaifil powder (Nutmeg powder) ¼ tsp
-All spices 1 tsp
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp
-Adrak powder (Ginger powder) ¼ tsp
-Baking powder 1 tsp
-Makhan (Butter) 160g (room temperature)
-Brown sugar 1 Cup
-Anday (Eggs) 4
-Vanilla essence 2 tsp
-Badam (Almonds) chopped ½ Cup
-Kaju (Cashew nuts) chopped ¼ Cup
-Pista (Pistachios) chopped ¼ Cup
-Mixed dry nuts
-Orange juice
Directions:
-In a saucepan,add & spread sugar and cook on very low flame until sugar is caramelized (don’t stir).
-Add water and mix well.
-Add orange juice & bring it to boil.
-Add black raisins,raisins,tutti frutti,dried dates and mix well & bring it to boil and cook for 1-2 minutes.
-Turn off the flame,cover & let it rest for 30 minutes then strain and reserve caramelized dry fruits & syrup (approx. ½ cup) for later use.
-Cut aluminum foil strip & place folded tissue paper on it,spray water and fold aluminum foil from both sides.
-Now adjust the prepared aluminum foil strip on the outer side of 8 inch round baking pan,pinch & seal the ends completely.
-Grease pan with oil & lined with two layers of butter papers & set aside.
-In a bowl,add all-purpose flour,cinnamon powder,nutmeg powder,all spices,salt,ginger powder,baking powder,mix well & set aside.
-In a bowl,add butter & beat until creamy.
-Add brown sugar & beat well.
-Add eggs,one by one & beat after each addition.
-Add vanilla essence,reserved ½ cup of dry fruits syrup & beat well.
-Now add dry ingredients & fold with the help of the spatula.
-Add caramelized dry fruits,almonds,cashew nuts,pistachios & mix well.
-Pour the batter in prepared baking pan,tap on working table for few times & sprinkle mixed dry nuts.
-Bake in preheated oven at 140 C for 90 minutes.
-Take out from oven,place on wire rack,apply orange juice with the help of brush & let it cool completely (approx. 30 minutes) and run a knife around the edges to loosen them from the sides of the pan.
-Cut into desired slices & serve!

-Saucepan mein cheeni dal ker pheela lein aur halki ancch per cheeni caramelized hunay tak paka lein (don’t stir).
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Orange juice dal dein aur ubal anay dein.
-Kali kishmish,kishmish,tutti frutti aur chuwaray dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad 1-2 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Chulha bund ker dein aur dhak ker 30 minutes kliya chor dein phir strain lein,caramelized dry fruits aur syrup ko bad mein use kernay kliya side per rakh dein.
-Aluminum foil ki strip cut ker lein aur folded tissue paper rakh ker pani ka spray ker lein aur aluminum foil ki dono sides ko fold ker lein.
-Tayyar aluminum foil strip ko 8 inch round baking pan ka bahir laga lein aur pinch ker ka ends ko completely seal ker lein.
-Baking pan ko oil sa grease karein aur 2 butter paper ki layers laga ker side per rakh dein.
-Bowl mein maida,darchini powder,jaifil powder,all spices,namak,adrak powder aur baking powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein & side per rakh dein.
-Bowl mein makhan dal ker creamy hunay tak beat ker lein.
-Brown sugar dal ker dubara beat ker lein.
-Ek,ek ker ka anday shamil karein aur beat kertay rahein.
-Vanilla essence aur reserved ½ cup dry fruits syrup dal ker ache tarhan beat ker lein.
-Ab dry ingredients dal ker spatula ki madad sa fold ker lein.
-Caramelized dry fruits,badam,kaju aur pista dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Tayyar baking pan mein batter dal dein aur working surface per tap karein aur mixed dry nuts sprinkle ker lein.
-Preheated oven mein 140 C per 90 minutes kliya bake ker lein.
-Oven sa nikal ker wire rack per rakh dein aur brush ki madad sa orange juice laga lein aur thanda ker lein (approx. 30 minutes) aur cake ki sides per knife dal ker ghooma lein ta ka pan ki sides lose ho jayein.
-Desired slices mein cut ker ka serve karein!

Super Moist Rich Christmas Fruit Cake Recipe - The Best & Easiest Traditional Christmas Cake Ever!

Christmas cakes are made in many different ways. They can be light, dark, moist, dry, heavy, spongy etc. The cakes are made in many different shapes, with frosting, royal icing, a dusting of icing sugar or simple and plain.
This is is really simple, super moist and rich traditional Christmas Cake, loaded with juicy rum flavoured fruits in every single bite. The special taste of a fruit cake is mostly the aroma of that cake from the spices. The spices and dried fruits in the cake are supposed to represent the exotic eastern spices brought by the three Wise Men to the newborn King!
No special equipments are required to make this cake and the cool thing is that we will need just a wooden spoon to make this super delicious fruit cake.
Baking Time: 80-90 mins || Serves: 10-12 slices
Ingredients:
Plain flour: 225g or 1 and 3/4 cups
Butter: 227g or 1 cup
Sugar: 150g 3/4 cup cup
Mixed spice: 1 tsp (1/2 tsp Cinnamon, 2 Cardamom, 2 Cloves, 1/4 tsp nutmeg)
Baking powder:1 tsp
Baking soda: 1/2 tsp
Salt:1/2 tsp
Eggs (medium): 4
Vanilla Extract:1 tsp
Caramel Syrup : 3tbs [molasses/dark brown sugar]
Soaked mixed fruit: 3 - 4 cups [watch video:
Zest of 1 Orange
Orange Juice : 2-3 tbs
▶Substitute: You can use 'Dark brown soft sugar' instead of white sugar and skip caramel
My Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Grease a 20cm (8) cake tin and line it with greaseproof paper.
2. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spice mix.
3. In a large bowl, beat together, the sugar & butter(at room temperature) until creamy. Gradually add the eggs, one by one.
4. Take the soaked fruits in a bowl and mix with the orange zest. You can add nuts (almond/walnuts/cashews - 1/2 cup) of your choice along with the fruits mix.
5. Add in the flour mixture and fruit mix into the egg mix and mix everything together, just until everything is well incorporated. This will help to avoid fruits sink at the bottom.
6. Spoon the completed mix into the cake tin. Pull a little dip back in the middle of the cake so that when it rises, it will level itself off better.
7. Bake in the centre of the oven for 1.5 hours(90 minutes). If it is browning a little too much cover it loosely with tinfoil after 60 minutes. The cake is cooked when a fine skewer, inserted into the centre, comes out clean and dry.
8. Make small holes all over the warm cake with a skewer and spoon the extra 50ml whiskey/ Wine/ Rum over the holes until it has all soaked in. Leave the cake to cool in the tin.
9. When the cake is cold, remove it from the tin, peel off the lining paper, then wrap it first in clean greaseproof paper / cling film and then in foil.
A small amount of brandy, sherry or whiskey (depending on your own favourite drink) should be spooned over the cake every week until Christmas. This process is called “feeding the cake”.
You also should turn the cake over, each week, before you pour another little bit of your favourite drink over it. This ensures that all that lovely alcohol penetrates to the very middle of the Christmas cake and definitely creates that Yum! factor on Christmas Day. Enjoy!
Tips:
▶ If you missed to prepare soaked fruits, soak the fruit overnight so it can absorb the alcohol and plump up. If you’re short on time, warm everything briefly in a microwave so the fruit will absorb the alcohol more quickly. Let the fruit cool completely before making the cake.
▶ For Non alcoholic version, soak the fruits in Orange juice/cranberry juice for couple of hours or leave it overnight in refrigerator.

▶How to make Caramel Syrup?
Add 1/2 cup sugar & 1 tbsp water in a sauce pan. Heat it & let the sugar melt. When the color of the melted sugar turns to golden brown to dark brown, remove the pan from fire & add 1/4 cup warm water to this. Be very careful at this stage, since the water tends to splash & can cause burns. Bring it back to the heat & boil for a few more mins, 3-4 mins or until it turns to honey consistency. Remove from fire & let it cool completely. You can prepare the caramel in advance & refrigerate it.

Grind all the spices with a little sugar, to a fine powder in a mini grinder/coffee grinder
