How To make Fresh Apple Loaf
4 tb Honey
1/4 c Butter or margarine
1 ts Lemon peel; grated
1 Egg
1 1/2 c Buttermilk
1 c Pastry flour; whole wheat
3/4 c Bread flour; whole wheat
1/2 ts Salt
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Baking soda
3/4 c Wheat germ; plus 1 tb
1 c Apples; fresh, grated
Cream honey and butter together with a fork. Add lemon peel. Beat the egg and buttermilk. Sift flours, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and soda together; stir in 3/4 cup wheat germ. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, avoiding lumps but do not overbeat. Add the apples and stir to combine. Fill a greased 8 by 4 inch loaf pan and sprinkle top with 1 tablespoon wheat germ. Bake for about an hour but check after 40 minutes. Recipe from the Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book. -----

2 pcs. Medium size apple
1 pc.medium size Orange
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
3 pcs .EGG
1 cup fresh milk
1/2 cup Dried blueberries/Raisins
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla Essence
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Baking soda
BAKE FOR 45 MINS

Apple Cinnamon Loaf Cake
Now, what can go better together than apples and cinnamon, a great combination. I had some friends from my local Pub ask me to bring them some cake after watching one of my videos, so off to the kitchen I went. Hi ho hi ho off to work we go.
I really like cake, but I do not like all the work of making it the regular complicated way, that's why I use a loaf pan. Just mix and bake, if you want something on top then just added it to the top and there you go........Done fast and easy with no fuss.

Italian Apple Loaf Cake: Torta di Mela
I made this apple loaf cake (Torta di Mela) recipe up when I was on holiday in Italy in 2019. This apple loaf cake is super moist and light with a hint of lemon. The recipe could be easily adapted for spelt or buckwheat flour too.
We were staying in a small town 30 km from Firenze (Florence), called San Giovanni Valdarno. We were fortunate to have our holiday apartment close to a daily market. During our visit it was apple season, so every day when I visited the local markets, there was an abundance of cheap apples. As I love anything with cooked apples, cake or pudding, I decided to research Italian apple cakes. After baking a few versions in my one and only loaf tin, I came up with this recipe – apple cake (torta di mele).

250g self-raising flour (could swap for buckwheat or spelt flour + 2 tsp baking powder)*

1 tsp vanilla extract
