Fourth of July Berry Cheesecake Squares
Happy Fourth of July!!! Today marks the 245th anniversary of America’s Independence! Many people celebrate with fireworks, summer gatherings, and displaying red, white, and blue! In this video I am making a classic treat - Cheesecake Squares! These are a great dessert to share at a party! In particular, I topped my cheesecake squares with colorful, patriotic fresh berries in the design of the American flag with red raspberries as my stripes and blue blueberries for the corner with stars. This was a simple basic cheesecake recipe and turned out to be delicious! I hope you all enjoy learning how to make cheesecake squares!

It is the 4th July and I thought it is maybe a good idea and of course about time that I show you how to bake a German Cheesecake with the American equivalent for German Quark which you could make at home for your 4th July celebrations! Quark is something you hardly find in the US and therefore I'll demonstrate for you in this video what comes closes to our quark.

KÄSEKUCHEN / GERMAN CHEESECAKE
28er Springform / 10 inch springform
Zutaten Boden
330g Mehl
125g Zucker
130g Butter
2 Eier
2 TL Vanilleextrakt
1 TL Backpulver
Zutaten Füllung
1kg Quark
280g Zucker
1 Päckchen Vanillepuddingpulver
100ml Sonnenblumenöl
600ml Milch
4 Eier
½ Zitrone, Saft
Ingredients Dough
2 1/2 heaped cups flour
2/3 cups sugar
4.5 ounces butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
Ingredients Filling
4 1/2 cups Quark made from sour cream
2 1/3 cups sugar
2 packages instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cups vegetable oil
3 cups milk
4 eggs
½ lemon, juice
Zubereitung Boden
1. alle Zutaten zusammen mischen bis eine homogene Masse entstanden ist und diese in die Backform drücken (auch den Rand hoch)
Zubereitung Füllung
1. alle Zutaten zusammen mixen und auf den Boden geben
2. bei 185°C für circa 70 min backen (wenn er oben zu dunkel wird mit Alu bedecken und weiterbacken)
3. Kuchen wackelt noch, wenn er aus dem Ofen kommt
Instructions Crust
1. combine all ingredients and press into pan (also edges)
Instructions Filling
1. place sour cream in a kitchen towel and wring out for over 5 minutes until water in sour cream is removed
2. combine all ingredients and pour into baking pan
3. bake at 380°F for approx 70 min (if it starts to turn to dark, cover with tin foil and continue baking)
4. cake will still be wobbly when it comes out of oven
