How To make Easy But Good Bread
***** NONE *****
Mix 2C flour with 1 t salt (I use 1/2 whole wheat flour and adjust water) Scald 1/2 C milk. Add in 1 1/2 C boiling water and let cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 1 package yeast in 1/4 C lukewarm water. Add the dissolved yeast to the milk/water and add to the dry ingredients, along with 1 T sugar and 1 1/2 T oil. Mix well but don't knead. Cover and let rise until almost doubled in bulk. Punch down. Form into two sort of flat shapes. Roll each (sort of jellyroll like) into two loaves. They'll be a little longer and thinner than average bread. Cover and let rise again until almost doubled in bulk, or until a finger indentation doesn't disappear after a few minutes. Place on oiled cookie sheet. Place a pie pan with 1/2 " of boiling water on the bottom of the oven. Bake 15 minutes at 400 and 30 minutes at 350. You know it's done when it sounds hollow when tapped on crust.

HOW TO MAKE BREAD // STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS // USING ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR //
Don't know where to start when it comes to making bread? Do you only have all-purpose flour? Scared you're going to fail? Fear not!! This is the bread recipe you've been looking for! I will show you how to make bread step by step! Let's do this!!
White Bread Recipe:
4 cups warm water
2 TBSP. active dry yeast
Dash of white granulated sugar
Mix together and let foam for 10 minutes in a warm place, covered.
After 10 minutes, pour yeast mixture into large mixing bowl. Add:
1 TBSP. salt
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup honey
5 cups all-purpose flour
Mix. Add 5-7 more cups flour (ONE CUP AT A TIME) until dough is smooth and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead by hand on lightly floured surface for 5-8 minutes. Place dough in a greased large bowl and spray dough with cooking spray. Then cover with a dish towel and let the dough rise until doubled in size, 30-45 minutes. Generously grease 3 (9 x 5 in) loaf pans and set aside.
Punch down the dough, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead it briefly to remove the air bubbles. Divide dough in thirds, knead each section a few times, and then shape into a loaf. Place the dough into prepared loaf pans. Rub the top of the loaves with soft butter then cover with a dish towel and let rise 30-45 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake the loaves for 30 minutes. Immediately remove loaves from pans and cool on a wire rack. Rub the top with butter while still hot!
You can freeze this bread in a freezer bag for up to 2 months!
