Ingredients

pork, butt roast

garlic, cloves

jalapeno pepper, fresh

cilantro, fresh, bunch

lite beer, large can
Directions:
Insert garlic cloves in roast, or just crush the cloves and drop in the pot with the meat; place in crockpot with whole pepper and half bunch of cilantro which has been chopped. Season to taste with black pepper and salt. Pour in beer. Cook on high 4 to 6 hours until fork tender. Remove meat; shred. Package, label, date and freeze.
To serve, defrost in microwave or refrigerator. Pile the hot meat on a plate. Serve steamed corn or flour tortillas, and with your choice of chopped tomatoes, diced onion, shredded cheese, yogurt or sour cream, lettuce and cilantro.

How to Make the Juiciest Slow Cooker Carnitas

INGREDIENTS:
4 lb boneless pork butt, or shoulder, cut into six equal pieces
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon cumin
8 cloves garlic, crushed
1 medium onion, quartered
3 leaves bay leaf
1 lime, juiced
1 large orange, juiced, save the spent halves
RECIPE:
Cut pork into 6 equal pieces. Add it to the slow cooker.
Add salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, garlic, onion, bay leaves, lime juice and juice the orange. Add orange to the cooker as well. Mix together until the meat is well-coated.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat pulls apart easily.
Remove the pork and transfer to a foil-lined baking sheet. Shred the pork and spread across the baking sheet in a single layer.
Pour about 1 cup (235 ml) of the liquid remaining in the slow cooker over the shredded pork. Broil for 5-10 minutes until the meat browns and crisps along the edges.
Serve immediately. Great as a filling in tacos, burritos, salads, or nachos!

The Pork
3 lbs pork belly, skin on
5 lbs pork shoulder boston butt roast - bone in.
2 TBSP avocado oil :
Seasoning Liquid
1 cup water
1/2 medium white onion, roughly diced
1 1/2 tsp Mexican oregano, dry :
1/2 tsp black pepper, whole :
4 cloves, whole :
1/2 tsp dry thyme :
1/2 cup orange juice (2 large oranges)
2 TBSP kosher salt :
2 oranges skin halves
1 head garlic
3 bay leaves :

Crockpot Carnitas.
Ingredients:
4-5 LBS Pork Shoulder
1 Large Orange (Juiced)
1 Cup Coke
1 Onion (Chopped)
6 Cloves Garlic
1 TBS Oregano
1 TBS Cumin
1 TBS Chili Powder
1 TBS Salt
1/2 TBS Pepper
1 Lime (Juiced)
3 Bay Leaves
Directions:
Add Pork Shoulder(Carnitas) to your crockpot
Season Pork with the following:
1 TBS Oregano
1 TBS Cumin
1 TBS Chili Powder
1 TBS Salt
1/2 TBS Pepper
Mix seasoning well into the pork shoulder
Add juice from orange
Add juice from lime
Add garlic cloves
Add onion
Add Coke
Add Bay Leaves
Cover crockpot
Cook on High for 6 1/2 Hours
After 6 1/2 Hours remove Pork add to baking dish
Shred pork and cover in the juices from the crockpot
Broil for 5 Mins to get the tops crispy
After 5 mins in broiler, Mix carnitas
Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients:
4-6 lb Pork Shoulder, bone-in (you can also use a Boston Butt cut)
1 Tbsp sea salt
1 Tbsp oregano
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp garlic powder (sub 6 minced garlic cloves)
2- lemons, limes or oranges, juiced (any combination of the 3 works great but you only need 2 total)
Place in crock pot and rub the spices and herbs all over the pork. Set on low and cook for 7-10 hours. When pork is easily shredded with a fork, remove fat cap and bones from the pork and continue to shred.
In a skillet over med-high heat, place a single layer of the pork in the hot pan and drizzle a little of the drippings from the crock pot (optional but adds flavor!). Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until a nice crust has formed on pork. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Note: you can also put the pork on a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes, flip the pork and broil for another minute or so.
