CORNED BEEF HASH QUICHE - Slow Cooked - Bonita's Kitchen
Welcome to Bonita's Kitchen! Today we will be making CORNED BEEF HASH QUICHE - Slow Cooked, see recipe below! If you are looking for a quick way to have a tasty meal for breakfast, this is it!

Ingredients:
½ can corned beef 4 large eggs, or one pre-person
1 or 2 medium potatoes, cubed 1 small onion, grated
¾ cup milk or cream ½ tsp pepper
½ tsp sea salt ( optional ) ¼ green and red pepper, diced
¼ tomato, chopped 1 cup shredded cheese
½ tsp onion powder
Method:
Crack eggs and put into a bowl, whisk together with milk or cream, onion powder, (sea salt) optional and pepper.
Then pour into slow cooker bowl, add chopped green and red peppers, grated onion, and chopped corned beef, tomato chopped.
Fold all ingredients together, the peel and clean potato and cut into cubes soak in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes to remove any starch.
Then drain water off potatoes and toss diced potatoes into slow cooker bowl. Then fold them together with the other ingredients.
Turn slow cooker on low and cook for 6 to 8 hours, if you are making them for breakfast put all ingredients in slow cooker before bedtime and keep on the counter top or stove top. The last 10 minutes before serving add shredded cheese of choice and cover. You can also bake this meal on a 350ºF preheated oven and cook for 45 to 60 minutes.
Serve with bacon or sausages and toast.

PREHEAT OVEN 400
TO AVOID A SOGGY CRUST I PREFER TO PRE-BAKE (OR BLIND BAKE ) THE CRUST
I USE A READY MADE ROLL-OUT CRUST
LET CRUST GET ROOM TEMP. (BOUT 15 MIN) THEN ROLL OUT ,LAY IN PIE DISH, PIERCE A FEW HOLES IN BOTTOM WITH FORK(TO AVOID AIR BUBBLES) AND PUT A LAYER OF FOIL OVER IT ,THEN FILL IN WITH PIE WEIGHTS, (OR LB DRY BEANS, RICE ,OR COVER WITH SUGAR)
BAKE IN OVEN 15-20- MIN, TILL JUST BEGINS TO TURN GOLDEN BROWN
TAKE OUT, LET COOL
FOR MY FILLING I USED :
1 CAN SLICED (OR DICED) POTATOES (DRAINED WELL-PAT DRY)
1 CAN CORN BEEF HASH ( YOU CAN USE ANY CHOICE OF MEAT YOU PREFER) ,MUST BE COOKED
(ANY MEAT IN A QUICHE MUST BE FULLY COOKED AHEAD)
4 EGGS
1/2 CUP HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
BOUT A CUP OF MEXICAN BLEND SHREDDED CHEESE AND 1 CUP SHARP CHEDDAR SHREDDED
(YOU CAN USE YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE OPTIONS)
FEW SPRINKLES OF CHIVES ( OR ANY OTHER SPICES YOU LIKE)
LET'S START FILLING THE CRUST !
ON BOTTOM OF CRUST PUT 1 CUP OF THE SHREDDED CHEESE
NEXT LAYER SPREAD OUT THE POTATOES
NOW SPREAD AROUND THE CORN BEEF HASH EVENLY
NEXT WHISK TOGETHER THE EGGS AND MILK ..THEN POUR OVER THE HASH
TOP OFF WITH THE OTHER CUP OF CHEESE
BAKE IN OVEN ABOUT 45 MIN..TEST AFTER 30 MIN WITH A TOOTHPICK IN CENTER ,LIKE YOU TEST A CAKE
QUICHE CAN JIGGLE A LITTLE, BUT TOOTHPICK NEEDS COME OUT CLEAN
COOL 15-20 MIN ,THEN SERVE
