How To make Chocolate Pie/Crisco
Crisco single crust/8 inch Filling: 1/4 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Firmly-packed brown sugar
2 tb All-purpose flour
1 1/3 c Corn syrup
1/4 c Golden crisco shortening
3 Eggs
1 oz Unsweetened chocolate;
-melted 1 1/2 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Walnut pieces
1/4 c Shredded coconut
1/4 c Semisweet mini chocolate
-chips 6 Walnut halves
1. For crust, prepare Crisco Single Crust. Do not bake.
Heat oven to 450F (230C). 2. For filling, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar,
flour, corn syrup, Golden Crisco Shortening, eggs, unsweetened chocolate, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Blend well. Fold in nuts, coconut and chocolate chips. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Top with nut halves. 3. Bake at 450F (230C) for 10 minutes. Reduce oven
temperature to 375F (190C) . Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until filling is set in centre. Cover edge with foil, if necessary, to prevent overbrowning. Cool to room temperature before serving. Makes: One 8-inch (20 cm) pie -----

INGREDIENTS
4 egg yolks
1 1/3 cup (165 g) sugar
1/2 cup (45 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup (40 g) cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
(2) 12 oz cans evaporated milk
1/4 tsp instant coffee granules
5 to 6 Tbsp (71 to 85 g) unsalted butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 baked 9-inch pie crust
*Recipe for two 8 to 9-inch pie dish crusts*
2 cups (260 g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp (5 g) salt
14 Tbsp (200 g) cold unsalted butter (you can also use half shortening or lard)
7 Tbsp ( 105 ml) ice-cold water
* extra flour for dusting work surface and rolling pin

Chocolate Cream Pie with Meringue
This is a very rich chocolate cream pie.
Here are the ingredients:

Pie Crust
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg yolk
3-4 tablespoons ice water
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
Bake at 475 degrees for 8-10 minutes
Pudding:
2/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons Hershey's cocoa
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
2 cups half n half
4 egg yolks
4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Meringue topping:
5 egg whites
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Bake at 400 degrees until lightly brown - 8-12 minutes
