Chocolate cake truffles | cake balls | cake pops recipe #shorts #youtubeshorts
Have some leftover cake (I know it's rare but does happen sometimes), turn it into cake truffles. Cake truffles are cake crumbs mixed with icing (in this case ganache) and dipped in melted chocolate. Yum!! They are a perfect treat.
Ingredients:
Chocolate cake crumbs - 2 cups
Chocolate ganache - 3-3 ½ tbsp
(Add small amounts and keep checking the consistency. It should be just enough to bind the crumbs together. Ideally frosting/icing is used but I prefer ganache, taste wise)
Melted semisweet or milk chocolate (to coat) - ¾ cup or as required
(Add a little bit of oil to the melted chocolate to make it thin - around 1 tbsp or so)
Method:
Make fine crumbs of the cake.
Add ganache (frosting/icing) .
Mix it well.
Take a small portion and roll it into a ball.
Refrigerate for atleast an hour.
Dip and coat in melted chocolate.
Add sprinkles of your choice.
You can insert lollipop sticks into them too to make cake pops.
Enjoy!

Most of the times you make and decorate a celebration cake, you'll end up with a few cake scraps as well as some buttercream. Rather than throwing it all away, why not make some cake truffles? These are my favourite thing to make with my leftovers, especially because they come out slightly different every time! Try dipping them in white chocolate too - they're so delicious!

How to Make Cake Balls or Cake Pops! ????????????
Today's video is all about making cake balls! I'm using two flavors of cake, chocolate and vanilla. I baked two boxed cake mixes using two 9-inch pans for each but only used 1 pan of each flavor. (I used the other two to make an actual cake, lol) In this video I'll walk you through each step in the cake ball making process. I bought my melting candies from Hobby Lobby, the brand is called Make 'N Mold.

????The ingredients:
Makes 30 Truffles; 3 cm / each (6 Designs today. Do less or more as you like!)
Prepare a 15cm✖️15cm square ring/mold (Or use something close to the size.)
Ganache:
• Dark chocolate 200 g | 7 oz
• Heavy cream 120 g | 4.2 oz
• Honey 20 g | 0.7 oz
• Butter (soft) 30 g | 1 oz
* I recommend chocolate with 50-65% cacao content. I used 64% but if you want a softer ganache, use the one with less cacao percentage.
• Dark chocolate to coat the bottom go the ganache: About 30 g | 1 oz or more
* Tempering it is the best but you can omit it to make it more simple.
Chocolate coating
• White chocolate (I used 320 g | 11.3 oz.)
• Dark chocolate (I used 1 kg | 35oz. Use as much as you feel comfortable with)
* I used 64% couverture chocolate. No need to pick the exact same percentage.
Decorations: (Use any ingredients of your choice!)
• Toasted mixed nuts
• Pistachios
• Cacao nibs
• Gold leaf
• Pieces of white and dark chocolates
