How To make Chicken In The(Crock) Pot
3 1/2 Pounds Broiler-fryer chicken
Salt and pepper 1 Teaspoon Butter
2 Carrots
slice diag
2 Parsnips :
cut in strips
2 Stalks celery 1" pieces
3 Green onions :
sliced
2 cloves Garlic -- minced
2 Teaspoons Fresh oregano
2 Cups Chicken broth
1 Cup Dry white wine
Wash chicken and giblets and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper and saute in butter. Transfer to crock pot. Rinse out drippings with water and pour into crock pot. Place carrots, parsnips, celery and leek around chicken. Season vegetables with salt and pepper. Add garlic, oregano, broth and wine. Cover pot. Cook on low for 8 hours or until tender. Remove chicken and vegetables to a platter and keep warm. Pour pan juices into saucepan. Skim fat. Boil down until reduced to 1 cup.

Chicken with vegetables (Crockpot)
INGREDIENTS
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 pound red potatoes, halved
1 pound baby carrots
1 pound green beans, trimmed
1 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Put chicken breasts, potatoes and carrots in a 6-7 quart slow cooker.
In a separate bowl whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, basil, oregano and pepper.
Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Add the green beans during the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

Grocery list
* Butter and little oil (use the oil from the sun dried tomatoes for extra flavor)
* Mixed dried Italian herbs, garlic granules, paprika, salt and pepper
* Chicken Breasts – I have used skin-on chicken breasts but you can use skinless if preferred
* Sun-dried tomatoes or you can use sun-dried tomato pesto
* White wine or chicken broth
* Sour cream or heavy cream
* A little cornstarch to thicken the sauce (if needed)
* Freshly grated Parmesan
* Fresh parsley

Such an easy pasta dinner! We love this with breadsticks and olive garden style salad.
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast (1.5-2 pounds works fine)
16 oz. Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
8 oz. cream cheese
¼ tsp. black pepper
Add these items after cooking time is up:
16 oz. penne pasta (cooked according to package directions and drain well)
¼ cup parmesan cheese
SLOW COOKER SIZE:
6-quart or larger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
Pour over the Olive Garden Italian dressing and sprinkle over the parmesan cheese.
Place the cream cheese on top.
Place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
When the cooking time is almost done, start cooking the pasta on the stovetop as directed on the package.
Shred the chicken with 2 forks. Drain the pasta and add to the chicken and sauce. Stir. Sprinkle over the remaining parmesan cheese.
Serve and enjoy!
