How To make Cherry Liqueur
1/2 lb Bing Cherries
1/2 lb Granulated sugar
2 c Vodka
Pick plump, shiny, well-coloured fruit with green stems, avoiding dark coloured stems. Season is late April to August. DO NOT rince until use. Use cherries as soon as ripe. Wash, stem, and towel dry cherries and place in a jar. Pour sugar over the cherries, followed by the vodka. DO NOT mix them. Cover with lid and store on a shelf for 3 months without disturbing, then strain. Liqueur is ready to serve. Recipe can be varied with extracts (chocolate, mint, orange, etc). Add approximately 1 teaspoon of extract to finished liqueur and let sit for another few weeks. Experiment with small portions of flavorings to find your desired taste. Container: Wide mouth quart jar.

Greek Recipe for Homemade Cherry Liqueur - Σπιτίσιο Τσερι Λικερ (1/3)
My mom used to make this cherry liqueur and it was just sublime.
This is the first step in a two-step process.
The second video is here:
The third and last vide will be here soon.
I used 1KG or 2.2lbs of sweet cherries.
700 Grams or 1.55 lbs of sugar.
Wash the cherries and remove the stems. Do not remove the pit.
Add sugar and cherries in a sufficiently large jar along with a cinnamon stick and one piece of whole nutmeg.
Keep the jar in the sun for about two months.
Initially, shake the jar a little to move the raw sugar around. After a few days the sugar will melt completely and you won't have to do this step.
Also, during the first two weeks open the jar every day or so and burp it.
After the two months add a whole bottle of good brandy. I already purchased a bottle of 7-star Metaxa brandy.

How to make Cherry Bounce - Homemade Liqueur
Cherry Bounce made with two different kind of liquors. Cherry Bounce has been around in this country since the colonial days. It was made with Brandy, Bourbons, and other kinds of liquors. Today I will be making mine with a Kentucky Bourbon and Vodka. This cherry infused alcoholic beverage is great for those meals as a nice cordial after a great dessert. A cherry bounce takes several months for the cordial to be ready. The infusion takes between 3 to 6 months and you can leave it in the alcohol longer if you want too. When you are ready to serve this drink just use a strainer and strain out the cherries and serve the drink. These make great gifts for your family and friends. I would love to hear from you in the comments section if you have ever had this drink before and what do you do different if any in your recipe. If you are going to give this a try let me know how yours turns out.
Recipe:
2 cups of pitted cherries
1/3 cup sugar
Alcohol of your choice fill the jar so that the cherries are covered by 1 to 2 inches.
Let it sit and infuse for several months (3 to 6)
